Yeah, you learn so much. I had no idea that DIY could be so easy. I know it's a lot of work but what a great way to make your wedding your own. I have started making my own invitations (with a layout I "Borrowed" from someone on here) It is so fun. I just need to go buy a microsoft package so I can get Powerpoint and get fullblown into it. Logo and all!!

What programs do you have? photoshop or publisher would be better. You'd just want photoshop elements to get started. Photoshop really isn't for graphic design. I just use it because I'm so familiar with it. I give presentations a lot. But if you are starting off new to a program, might as well start with the right one. There is also Lumapix photofusion. The basic version is $40. It's perfect for designing invites, photobooks, logos, etc. You can download a free trial on their website.

check out the navigating the forum section & you can learn all you want about points. they are a little confusing at first, but really make a lot of sense to keep the forum running. They are also fun once you have a bunch. You can buy gifts, etc.

Use photobucket.com for posting pictures. Insert the code. All the details of how to do this are also on the forum.

I think I found a solution to getting backgrounds to people. I have a powerpoint file of different beach backgrounds with light boxes for text. You will need to make your text fit in the boxes available. Otherwise you can use on of the backgrounds that is all light. There are 3 beach pictures to pick from.

I can not attach the file. I think it's too big. PM me your email address & I will send you the file. It's big, so make sure you send me an email address that can accept a big file.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
