Hell if your husband is a genius like that then do it that way and you will get exactly what the two of you want.

Tell Reggie when you two come to St Thomas to bring his cameras for that extra something something that our videographer will miss. lol

We hired Jorge Ibarra for video and he turned out to be our favorite vendor.. we LOVE LOVE LOVE our video! We also had a friend who volunteered to video the ceremony and little before. That was really nice of her and we appreciate it but the professional video was so much better (obviously).

There was so much that we and our photographer missed (like ceremony setup and details before guests arrived)... I'm really glad we did it.

Heidi, I am getting married at the ROR as well, and I am kinda nervous if the whole photo crew will get nasty if I have someone video taping the ceremony. I know they have exclusive photo rights, and the videography is in their contract as well... My dad wants to buy a new camera to do this, and then show it at our AHR before we are introduced... and I love this idea... but have you heard of anyone having problems at the ROR with having a family member or friend tape the wedding? I hate to have my heart set on something, and my dad buy a new camera then have problems arise out of it.

We hired a professional. His name is Sam Perches. Wonderful person! His package includes an assistant and professional editing. He also specializes in filming commercials in Cabo. So his work is of very high quality. You will not regret hiring him. At our wedding he and his assistant were shooting the whole time (They even refused to have dinner. He said that is the time that he reviews his shots.) He was also great to work with. He was very responsive to e-mails. Extremely professional. Highly recommended. The cover of the DVD we received has a beautiful layout of our TTD pictures. The DVD has 4 chapters: long version, short version, slideshow and Dancing parts. His e-mail is samperches@gmail.com. We used the one included in our wedding package. He was excellent!

They extended the time since we didn't use the photo package included.

We also had a friend that took video and gave us that as well.

I am so glad we have these perspectives on the wedding since it went by so fast and there were also things we did not get to see. (Totally missed cocktail hour).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
