29 days away from my wedding and the WC is gone!

Recommended Posts

I thought that I was freaking out over all of the nominal crap before, but I emailed my WC about a week and a half ago and never heard back. So, I emailed the reception coordinator and he informs me that she has now moved to another sister resort. Okay, why does no one feel the need to communicate this with us?? So, I am told of a new WC that I email and a couple of days later get an email from yet another person who states that she is my WC!!! I have been waiting for flower pics and pricing to decide on bouquet and groom's flower, centerpiece, chuppa, ceremony decoration, etc. and have NOTHING. I have emailed both of the "new" WC's daily and have no responses. I am trying really hard to not freak out, but I have this idea in my head that I am going to get there and still have no idea what anything will look like or cost and that is just way too much stress to deal with on top of the normal stress. Has anyone else had issues like this? Tell me that it turned out okayhuh.gif

I agree with Erica. I know its easier said than done but try to relax. It seems like they've re-organized the staff & maybe they'll get it together within the next few days & give you the info that you requested. I know it must be frustrating, but try calling the new WC again & let her know what you need. Explain that this is stressful & you don't think you're getting the service that you deserve, especially with your wedding 29 days away. If you have to, find out who her boss/supervisor is. Maybe you can call/email them as well.

Also, do you have pics/ideas of the things that you want? If so, definitely email those to her & see if she can give you price quotes based on what you want. As long as you have an idea about what you want, I think you'll be fine. You can always work based on the ideas that you already have.

Definitely try to stay positive. It will all work out in the end.

Oh you poor thing! My heart goes out to you. Take a deep breath and give them a couple of days. Maybe they are trying to get themselves organized. If e-mail doesn't work, go somewhere and get a calling card and call them.

Take care and keep us posted!

Becky! I'm so sorry! I've been getting so frustrated, too! I emailed Paty a week and a half ago with a list of important questions and never heard back. It's been like pulling teeth all along to try and get any information from her even just for the basics. I emailed again this week and obviously nothing... now I know why.

I would be freaking out, too, but everything will work out for you. I'm sure once you get there everything can be decided so try and not worry. One suggestion might be to call Bert Muller (sp?) who is the manager of the Royal. My FI spoke to him at the beginning of our planning process regarding kids not being allowed to stay at the resort (hoping he would bend the rules, which was a no go)... apparently he was nice to deal w/... perhaps you can call the resort and ask to speak to him and he can in turn get the WC to start communicating with you.

Let me know if there's anything I can do... in the end I know your wedding will be beautiful so try and not worry (easier said than done I know).

I have tried emailing photos of things I like, but I get no answers. I sent an email last night explaining that this was making me extremely nervous and I would really appreciate someone returning my emails...nothing yet. I guess I am going to resort to calling on Monday if I don't hear back. It is so expensive to call there, so I want to make that my last resort. I know that in the end the only thing that matters is us being there together, but after you spend so much money on a wedding and so much time planning...it is just so frustrating and it just should not be like this!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
