I think I figured out what I want to give as gifts to the bridesmaids:

pearl bracelet from BlueNile.com for $40: http://www.bluenile.com/freshwater-pearl-bracelet_7190

LL

Robes from Plum Pretty Store - 4 for $260 ($65 each)

http://store.plumprettysugar.com/bridesmaid-set-of-4-knee-length-kimono-robes-assorted-prints/

LL

I want to do something simple and classy, but I am worried that I am going over board since those prices don't include tax and shipping AND I am paying for their hair & makeup too ($135/pp).  Is this too much?  My other thought was to do Havaiana flip flops instead of the pearl bracelet but the bracelet is so classy...

I am also concerned about going over board..... i want to give my girls so many things so far on the list is

Silk robes from MaySilk $45  http://www.etsy.com/shop/MaySilk?ref=seller_info

700

Cosmetics bag from MaddieKayHandbags $20  http://www.etsy.com/shop/maddiekayhandbags

700

Seashell lipbalm from Organic Island $15  http://www.organicisland.com.au/lipbalm/index.html

700

Then i also plan on making the bridesmaid hangers.. about $5 each (if that)

Rhinestone bridemaids tanks $10 each

and i want to make a rhinestone and pearl bracelet at about $15 each

I only have 2 bridemaids... so i feel like spoiling them for making the trip down for me. but is over $100 each too much?

I only have 2 as well... as it turns out, I may only have one there on the day (one is preggers and my resort just announced it is switching to adult only right before our wedding)... but even if she is home, she is still going all out, and helping with the AHR...

ANYWAY... I do not think that is too much to spend. That is about where I will be with my spending too. I think it totally depends on specific circumstances, but I think that it is totally fine.

Thank you for sharing them! I agree...they are so cute! Glad to hear they are good quality too...esp for the price! Are the bags small in size? I noticed there are different prices on some of them too. Did you get the one that was called a tote...or an oversize tote?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
