Has Anyone Flown AeroMexico?

Our flights have been changed from Ryan Int'l to AeroMexico. I have never flown this airline before. I Googled and of course found a bunch of bad reviews.

Anyone know anything about them?

Good thing is, they have an awesome weight limit on luggage. 2 pieces to check-in and they can be 70 pounds EACH! WOOOOOOT! smile29.gif

I haven't heard anything about that airline, but it's probably a charter like ChampionAir. That's who we had. We had the same weight limit. It was awesome! We've never had any problems with the charter flights to Mexico. I'm sure everything will be fine. You are always going to find bad reviews out there!

Hi!

AeroMexico is one of the OLDEST airlines in Mexico. They are very good. Comparing them with other Mexican airlines they are probably the ones that have the most expensive ticket prices. They are consistently ontime and I have never had problems with luggage getting lost. That doesn't mean that it doesn't happen!!

You should ask about the cost of upgarding to a 1st class ticket. I think last time I did it they charged $50 dls for this then gave me and Hubby shrimp cocktails and free drinks during the flight.

I noticed that the ryan air flights were no longer available on funjet. I saw that it was aeromexico instead, but didn't realize existing flights would be switched to aeromexico. I'm really glad to hear you don't have to worry about luggage anymore! That's great news. Did you flight times change?

I wouldn't worry so much about bad reviews. When does anyone review a good airline? I had a great experience with airtran over the holidays, but enver bothered to write a review anywhere.

hmmm, I'm surprised my TA hasn't told me this yet. I was under the impression those who booked ryan air would still be flying ryan air. It's actually better, because that way more people will be on the same flight.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
