I just got an email from Yesica regarding handing out my OOT bags:

Hello Leia I hope you are doing great!!!

Yes if you left them in front desk we make a charge of 1 usd per bag and if the bell boys make the deliver to the room is 3.50 usd per room.

Let me know.

Best regards,

We just met our guests (a bunch were arriving on the same flight) in the lobby with our bags and handed them out as they checked in... I wouldn't want them delivered to the rooms because rooms change (upgrades) all the time and chances are the bags wont be in the same room they're in so they'd get them later or the next day... also it was just easier with our pile of 25 bags to split them between Matt and I and hand them out with a hug and a smile!

I initially wanted the front desk people to hand them out...but now I'm second guessing that. I guess I'll see when everyone is arriving. If they are all going to be arriving at the same time, then I'll hand them out. I just don't want to be hanging out in the lobby all day with all the bags.

So they charge to deliver them to the rooms, but not to give them out at check-in, right? I thought I had seen that before. I was planning on just having them hand them out as people checked in and bringing the remainder to the rehearsal dinner since I know not all of my guests are staying at Dreams.

Honestly, this does not surprise me. They were giving them out at check-in to my guests, and I went down each morning with a handful, gave the front desk staff a list and times my guests would arrive. I literally saw probably 25 bags (not just mine!) at the desk each morning. I'm sure this is a HUGE PITA for the hotel staff. I still don't think $3.50 is that bad... Or, like others have suggested, just hand them our yourselves as you greet your guests.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
