Aw, thanks so much ladies! Tom says it should arrive any day now and I simply can not wait to see it in person! But you can see why I wouldn't wear an e-ring with it.

And Carrie, if you are going to get a fake one ... check out Sterling Silver Jewelry, Cubic Zirconia Jewelry, Faux CZ Jewelry, and Celebrity Jewelry for Less.. That's where I got my Tacori replica that is almost an exact look-alike for my e-ring. And it was only like $60 for the e-ring and matching band set. Looks ssoo real, people compliment me on it ALL the time. I just smile and say thank you.

FI bought e-ring setting and wedding band as a matching set and bought a diamond for the engagement ring separately. The two rings have pave' stones on the top of each band, but the sides of the bands (facing each other) are smooth metal, so they sit flush against each other. I will probably wear them together for a while, but will probably buy a plain white gold band to wear when I have everyday tasks (cleaning around the house, working in the yard, etc...). We are also ordering one of those fake wedding sets you see in the back of the tabloid magazines that looks like my set to use when we travel on vacations (after the wedding). Sometimes insurance doesn't cover theft in other countries.

However, my e-ring was stolen last year from the tanning salon ... so I am wearing a CZ replica for now.

As an anniversary gift, FH will replace the e-ring, but when he does I will wear it on my right hand since the wedding ring is so detailed and intricate.

I plan on doing the E ring on right hand once married too - I agree with Alyssa - more bling!!

My e-ring was custom made so we are having my band custom made also but I have no idea what I want it to look like. I originally just wanted a band and no e-ring b/c I love the look of a wedding band with diamonds but I got quite the surprise. I have my grandmothers diamond rings so I wanted to incorporate her diamonds into the band somehow. Don't know...

I always wanted an eternity wedding band once I would get married... To my surprise, the diamonds chosen by my husband are bigger than I thought they would be (total is 3.8 carrats / 24 diamonds) so when he gave it to me, it kinda looks bizarre with my e-ring... I have tiny long fingers, so both rings made my hand look funny !

SO my e-ring is now on my right hand and the eternity on the left ! Me too ,I like having the bling on both hands !

  • 4 weeks later...

We just bought our wedding bands and I was having a hard time finding something that fit with my e-ring. A countour band is the only thing that rests nicely against the e-ring but I want to be able to wear the wedding band alone. So I picked a wedding band that looks good alone and looks good enough with the e-ring. i will probably end up with the e-ring on the right hand. FI for some reason thinks its weird I would do that so it's nice to see that I am not alone in that idea.

I'm just not getting a band. my ring is a round solitare so finding a matching band wouldn't be hard, but I like the one band look. I thought it would confuse people & they'd think I'm engaged once I'm married. But, people assume I'm married now that they see the 1 ring, so I don't think it matters.

I think I might get on of those blinging CZs from the website tami posted for travel.

a band won't fit w/ my e-ring either...so I am not getting one..I figured that if I wanted something in a year we could do that...but I had just assumed that I would wear the band on my right and e ring still on my left...you gals have it the other way around...interesting that I am a little backward! wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
