Actually when you pay the .99 or whatever, you can use the songs like 5 times off of itunes to burn to CD or ipod or whatever, then if you try to use it again other than to listen off your computer supposedly it won't let you unless you buy it again. So technically no one would ever know if I mad 100 copies of any given song, as long as I just used the itunes to burn the original CD, then used that CD file to burn the other 99 discs, so that's where the infringment occurs. (anyone, please correct me if I'm wrong, thats just my understanding of how it works?). And I do assume the artist gets a cut from the .99.

Great idea Maria and Amanda, but we don't want to really use our wedding to promote his band, also cause one of the biggest reasons I like the CD idea is so we can compile our favorite songs together and share that part of us with our friends and family.

I also am not doing favors for the destination part, but we are doing them for the AHR.

I think you should tell Doig to keep trying, if you don't like the shot glass idea and see what he comes up with. I also like the CD idea and maybe if given time (and encouragement) he wil see that he does too!

Personally I went to 4 weddings last summer and I can't think of any of their favors except one. Ironically, it was a CD that I don't really listen to since I don't have the same taste in music (not to offend your idea though). I guess what I'm trying to say is that I think favors are the smallest detail that most guests forget.

My FI wants to give everyone mini bottles of tequila so that's what we are doing. I know many people that don't even drink at my wedding, but I figure I can do their shot for them. haha

At least Doug's taking interest right? I used to get mad at my FI because he didn't seem to care about anything. He would always nod approvingly without really listening. I say resist the need to control everything and give him a shot to do good.

UPDATE!

We decided to just go with this, most everyone has a keychain, kids can put it on their backpack, whatever. It's cute and "useful." We'll just get stickers for one side with our logo, and tie a ribbon and tag in our wedding colors saying 'Thank You!' or something. And you can't beat the price!!

Twelve acrylic Aloha Shirt Key Rings in assorted colors.

Aloha Shirt measures approximately 2".

That's less than 70cents per keyring!

From ABC Stores - The Store With Aloha.

We decided not to go with the CD idea after I priced out how much it would actually cost to make 150 or so. YOWZA! Still love the idea, but forgeddaboutit!

Abbie I love the keychain idea, we did wine bottle stoppers (mainly because I also wanted something useful and we got married in the wine country) and most of my family members use theirs all the time.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
