Hi Ottawa Bride! Congrats on your wedding and I'm so glad everything went extremely well! I'm that much more excited now after seeing how smoothly everything went for you and how much you enjoyed yourself. I'm even thinking now that we should think about booking the sunset cruise for our guests. I was wondering if you have any photos of the night portion of your wedding from the restaurant and beach party? My FI and I can't decide if we want to rent out a seperate venue for the party or do the beach party thing. How was the band? What type of music did they play? Had it not been for the band do you think it still would have been fun to have an ipod stereo playing the music? Thanks so much!

Hi Seaprincess!

Not sure if you're still checking the site or not, but was hoping you could help put me in touch with PhotoSouvenir!? I saw your review of them and checked out their website. I've emailed 3 times using their 'contact us' section and have tried calling a number of times. I haven't heard anything back. I would love to use them, but I'm worried that they're booked up now. My wedding is January 16, 2010 at the Grand Palladium Bavaro.

Thanks!

Amanda

Hi Amanda,
I had the same problem with them, haha I still haven't heard from them!
I contacted HCD, I got a reply in minutes. I've seen his work and it looks amazing. Might want to contact Arnaud. His amazing and his price are reasonable (actually they are amazing)

Hi Amanda, I also booked with HCD. They're pics and video are spectacular. I received a quote from them within a few hours. (If you get pics, video and Trash the Dress session Arnaud gives you a discount as well). His packages offer sooo many pictures and even a photo book is mailed to you afterwards.

Hi Amanda,
I'm still on here occasionally, but I'm sorry I don't have any advice for getting in touch with PhotoSouveir. I booked them in Sept 2008 (for my Jan 2009 wedding) by email. I never had trouble getting a reply from them, but apparently they are SUPER busy now. I highly doubt they will have your date available less than 2 months out from your wedding...sorry. You can always try emailing them again (with your date in the subject line) or maybe follow Carribean's advice and see if HDC is available?

cherrybomb, what kind of deal did you get? I got pics, video, and ttd, but i'm not sure we are getting a discount, so far i've only paid the deposit, which for me was $400 USD.

Sooo I have a dilemma... I picked a photographer here in MTL back when we were planning our wedding here (before we changed our minds to a DW) we had left a deposit. She was nice enough to give our deposit as engagement photos. The end of Oct we finally went and took the pics. I've heard from her once since saying I'd recieve them in a few weeks. Ok, fine... I recently e-mailed her asking her roughly when does she think she would be sending them (by mail) and to inform me more in detail about the boudoir photo session. Well I still haven't heard back from her, and still have no idea when she'd be free to do the session. So I'm freaking out!!! Do I find another photographer?!? I've looked around sent a few e-mails few weeks ago and no reply's.

Anyone know of a photographer that works in this area?!

CarribeanLover that totally sucks! Does your photographer have an office that you can just show up at? There's no excuse for her to not return your calls, especially since she's already taken the time to take your photos! If it were me I'd just go to her office in person or call her every day until she calls you back!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
