Tracy, as you asked earlier, I have 22 confirmed (booked) guests, 24 including Mike and I. And I pack really really heavy when I go away so I'm not going to bring down centerpeices I don't think. Sence its not really our reception, We will just put the flower centerpeice from the ceremony at our table for supper and thats it, I don't want to have to lug down vases for the tables. I would rather pack more bathing suits, or dresses!!! lol
Yes it'll be all alot of fun!!! I'm getting more and more excited each day!
Oh way thats a nice wedding guest amount!
LOL I'm exactly like you, The FI is freaking out on me that I usualy over pack on a normal vaca, now I have a few other things to back cause of the wedding, but I'm also throwing in the vase's paper laterern, metal laternen (favours) OOT bags, list goes on. But lucky us we booked with AirCanada and they allot you 2 luggage each allowing to weight 50lbs. SO that's 200lbs Mike and I can bring down. I'm not so worried! I have seriously 15 bathing suits. I wont be able to take them all =(
Anyway else having to wear a strapless bath suit until their wedding day? I know I do.

CherryBomb,
Thanks for the upgrade, it looks like beautiful! I can't wait to see it in person.

I'm not bringing any extra's I don't think....I don't plan on staying in the restaurant all that long anyway. If I decide last minute to bring extra's down with me, I am bringing my 8 yr old, and 3 yr old kids, so there will be tons on room in their suitcase for whatever I decide to bring.....lol

your not planning on having a private reception? I guess I never thought about how much time I will actually be spending in the restaurant. Lucky me my centerpieces are very very light!

so I'm hoping I can get all of your advice for my OOT bag. I've finaly decided to go with a tote bag that will be about $7/bag with the printing. But I can't decided on if I should put our names on it, or just like 'Punta Cana' and maybe our wedding date. I'm in hopes people will still use the bag after our vacation, do you think people will still use it with our names on it?

Thanks for any advice/input!!

You could still put your names on them, I would still use it, but some peopl won't.

And thats so true Shank, Were not going to be in the resturant very long, like an hr at the most. Yeah I'm def not bringing centerpeices. Screw it. lol

Caribbeanlover, don't worry about all the bathing suits, I have an obession with bathing suits, and I don't like to wear the same one twice, this year I brought down 10, we only stayed a week!!! lol

I'm bringing favors, but the favor is the escort card, which is a luggage tag (a permanent one, not the plastic ones. I want to do OOT bags, and I still probably will, I just may not get real beach totes, and just use a gift bag. I saw one on here that was stamped and looked nice.

thanks guys! it's decided I will put my name on them!

right now I'm thinking we will have about 20 ppl. I am doing favor's on top of the OOT bags. I will get Carolina to light up metal (white) lanteren's and scartter them around the tables at dinner time, it will have a note say 'light up your way'

Courtney:

I tried to contact her to make sure it was ok that I booked for Saturday as suppose to Thursday, it took about 1 day and half with me sending her the e-mail twice. So keep sending them!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
