Married or going to be married at Grand Palladium Punta Cana?

Recommended Posts

Nonnie, the sashes with starfish look amazing! Great shopping and great craft skills! I am waiting until I find the BM dresses to determine exact colours since I am going with turquoise/oasis shade and the tint of green/blue really can differ. I haven't shopped for my dress yet! Has anyone bought their dress for April? Am I outrageously behind?

I am in the same boat for the reception. Bringing my iPod but not too sure how all of that will work. Don't want to be up and down flipping through music so maybe I will ask a cousin or someone to help out during the evening.

Caribbean lover, since my wedding is the evening before yours, maybe we can touch base at some point and I will let you know how things worked out! Trial by error (ugh). I guess this means I need to bring a bulky docking station. I think I will leave my music worries until the end.... yep... that'll be the last thing I work on.

Have you gals finished your OOT bags? Or are you doing those? I bought the coolest, prettiest bags on ebay! They arrived recently and I was thrilled with the quality... so much more vibrant and larger than anticipated. I thought they were small but figured I would give one to each female guest and a different bag for the men, but these are roomy enough to put two of several items (mugs, room key holders, etc.) in each one so the couples can share them. As soon as I have the contents together I will post photos. Anyone else working on OOT bags?

I bought my 1st dress in June and my second one in August. I also have my first fitting this Friday. I'm getting married on the 9th and have the same colors as you. Do you think I would be able to borrow your sashes? If so, how many were you thinking of getting? I have about 30 guests. I have a few things I might be able to share with you and Carribean Lover but a lot is personalized with our Monograms. I will have some Turquoise Lanterns with led lights if you may want to decorate your reception. I should take the time and make a list for both of you of all the things you can borrow.

My dress has been bought for awhile now....we originally were going to be married here, but last Dec my FI had a series of heart attacks and I decided we didn't need the stress of planning a wedding here.

I e-mailed Carolina yesterday about having my wedding at the new gazebo and she confirmed.....so happy!!!!!

I think I'll stick with my original color....I have my sister standing as my MOH, and she is wearing Alexia style 830....but not 100% yet. That's the dress she wants, but I might change my colors, I just don't want to ruffle her feathers, but it's my wedding....well see!!!

I got the gazebo....yay, that so made my day!!!!!

I bought my first dress June of 08 lol sad.gif and I'm only getting in this Thursday (hopefuly) because we too were planning an in town wedding. So I bought an evening dress in July it's already altered hanging in my closet, waiting for it to be worn!
That would be amazing to meet up let me know what you would advice me to do or not to do.
I'm really hoping the girls that are getting married the same week as us, we could meet up for drinks meet face to face. We will have been talking all together for months!
I have a few things for the oot bags, lip balm with spf and I got labels with our names and date and I put them on. aloe, hand cream, first aid kits. I am still missing a few, but the most important is the travel mug.. can't find a good canadian site with no min order. I found the tote bags. Just have to order them
WHere is everyone at with their oot bags?

I've just started gathering stuff. I have so far 11 bags, spanish for dummies, hand sanitizer, tylenol....

Caribbean lover, Where are you ordering your bags from? I was out and about a few month ago, and went to Chapters. There was a sale rack outside the store with beautiful huge beach bags hanging on one of the rack. Ziper top, smaller bag sown on the inside for key, money wallet what not. I will be giving those out to parents, in laws and MOH. I have smaller ones for the aunts, uncles and friends that come....Is that wrong? I was looking at getting bubba's from Canadian tire when they go on sale. The 20oz mugs are big enough, and perfect size drink. They really keep your drinks cold.....Yay for Bubba's!!!...lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
