Married or going to be married at Grand Palladium Punta Cana?

Recommended Posts

I plan on getting married at the Grand Palladium at the end of Feb. 2011. I can't get Carolina to commit to the date that I want. The last time she emailed me, she said she would check back with the judge and get back to me in a couple of weeks. This was June 1st! I have sent her two more emails but I still haven't heard from her. I am pretty laid back and not a huge planner, but I really want to have our date set in stone. I am contemplating whether to even get married at the Grand Palladium. Any thoughts or comments?

I know for me getting reply's back from a WC was important in choosing a resort. That said I got a quick response from her when I email her, asking her for a date of my choice, she came back and gave me 2 dates close (same week) that the judge was free, so I took one of those days. There are only a few judges in all of Punta Cana and all the resorts share them... my suggestion is to take a date close to the date you original picked, since the chances of another resort having that time free is usually unlikely. I suggest emailing her again (maybe you can change your mind to a date the judge is free for sure) and let her know you'd like to confirm a date so you can make travel plans.

Good luck!!!!

Hey Guys! I've heard of others on here who have stayed one week on the bavaro or punta cana section and then one week in the Royal Suites section. That is what I want to do. How did you go about booking two separate places for the two week vacation? Did you just tell your TA and they booked it or does it have to be booked through the hotel directly?

Also, where would you recommend for guests to stay? Bavaro section or Punta Cana section...or Palace.

Thanks for all the info and advice!!

Hi!!!

If your working with a TA, yes they can sort it all out for you. It'll be much more expensive to do throuh the resort, your best option is definitely to have it booked before your there.

I can't recommend a specific room location...they'll all great. I say the Bavaro is a little far from everything though, especially if you get a room deep in.
Most of our guest stayed on the Punta Cana side because it was a lot cheaper. I had 1 guest on the Palac side. Everyone had basically the same room and loved it. So I suggest going with the cheaper side for your guest. Since it doesn't matter they can use all of the resorts!!

Whens your big day?! you should put it on your info!!!

I leave in 2 days!!!! OMG!

I NEED HELP THOUGH. I can't decide on a father daughter song. My dad and I are SUPER close and I'm a daddy's girl to the bones. I've got it narrowed down to 3.

1) Al Martino - Daddy's Little Girl (great song and says daddy's little girl.!)

2) Frank Sinatra - The Way you Look Tonight (amazing song, but nothing about dads/daughters)

3) Louis Armstrong - What a Wonderful World (another amazing song that I get teary listening to)

the last 2 I love because they are ones I hear randomly and I think that's nice. The first one is the only one that mentions dads/daughters which makes it special for the dance, but I won't hear it often.

ADVICE PLEASE!! ahh

I say go for the first one, and make it a point to have the song on one of your random mix cd's when you play in the car( so you will hear it every once and awhile and remind you of your day) Seems like the way you explain the songs the first one means a little more to you! ?

I can't believe your big day is just right around the corner... we'll miss you here for the next 2 weeks!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
