You could always ask, maybe they will charge you a little more to have the bar open for an extra hour, but if your willing to pay, I wouldn't see the problem.
How many holder's are you looking for?!
I got them at weddingstar.com 3 for $8.
lol. I wish I could sleep late, but having 2 dogs I never have that luck! lol

I will definitely check into it. DJ Mannia said he's done 4 hours at GP before, so I'm hoping he knows best.

How many guests did you have sit at each table? We have about 60 people total including 8 kids. That's one part that makes table planning a little difficult. I would love to at least add them to the cake table. So maybe 6?
Thanks much!!

Hope this helps a bit, sorta of get an idea. As you can see in the sand or on us there is a spot light (which is high on a tree)
Hi Tracy!

I'm wondering what sort of music you had played at your beach party? Did you supply CDs or an iPod you brought with you? Or did the resort DJ have his own music he played?

Thanks!

Oh yes, dogs... yup no sleep! lol poor you. I wanted a dog.. but not anymore LOL!!!!

there you go,so for sure you'll be able to get 4 hours for the beach party. Hope it doesn't cost to much extra though... you'll have to keep us posted on that, pls!!

I had 25 guest plus us 27. I wanted 3 guest tables and a head table for the party us and parents. However like i mention in my review (still not up yet!!) that Carolina only got my bags and direction 30 mins before the ceremony (and I forgot to mention at our meeting about how I wanted the tables) so instead we got 1 long table.I'll look for some pics and I'll post them!

I'm sure you can do whatever you want for the tables and how many you want at them. JUST LET HER KNOW AT YOUR MEETING, don't pull a Tracy smile116.gif lol (I planned for over a year and forgot to mention half the stuff I wanted at the meeting..cause it goes so fast!!)

I played 50,60,70,80's and 90-until Now. It was amazing everyone had a great time (one of my guest's daughter is getting married..she wanted my entire play list lol)
I brought both, cd's and an Ipod. He played the cd's. So i suggest mixing it the songs and put it on some cd's...I had 3 cd's. he actually started playing the first cd over again, I got someone to tell him there was more. He was all good after that!

i'll second that you have to be very specific about the tables - she did do our tables as we wanted, but i had these frames and our table, which was the head, didn't have enough place settings as we planned to have people, and when we had the entrance with the DJ it was awkward, because we as the bride and groom didn't have somewhere to sit!

my bouquet was a real touch bouquet from shavon's wedding silks. i'm going to use it as a table decoration for our AHR and then try to re sell on here - I got them for all of my bridesmaids and it was much cheaper than buying additional bouquets from carolina.

what restuarant did you have your reception at?

But regardless of the mishaps, still found it perfect?!?! everything you wanted?

I really love the flowers!!!! You'll def get a buyer. When is the AHR?!?! What are you doing for it?

My mom conviced me to have one!!!! but she's doing all the planning, all i'll do is make a cupcake tower lol

We wanted, and had requested La Uva too. She told us arrecife because another bride was in La Uva. We had 41 guests.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
