Married or going to be married at Grand Palladium Punta Cana?

Sounds like you are realising how non-stress free DW really are. I hope things work out for your guests booking online. The only downside would be that you won't be in nearby rooms, but my group was all spread around the Bavaro section even though we booked with a Travel agent.

Resort photographer info:

here is their website: JALU.US

if you go to the "about us" section you will find the prices for weddings and sessions, TTD is treated as a session. The most expensive package includes a video of the whole day. All the pictures you see are from the photographer named Peter Reilly. I had a fellow named Andres who I was very very happy with.

Another OOT bag question...I'm debating on whether we should write on the bag:

Carrie & Andrew's Wedding

Punta Cana - April 16th, 2010

or

"To Have and To Hold"

Punta Cana - April 16th, 2010

(kind of symbolic of the wedding and also that it's a bag "to hold")

The only reason I'm not sure is that I want people to use the bag afterward and I'm afraid if it's as specific as having our names on it, they might not be as likely to use it. What does everyone think? I asked a few friends and am getting different answers from everyone. Let me know what you all think =)

Ohhh Danielle, that sucks!!!! We had guest book with our group later then the orignal date and they ending up paying $300 more per person. I was in the same boat as cherrybomb, we are booked through sunwing and they ran out of rooms, so they had to buy more rooms from other tour operators, thats why it costs more, because it actually costs them more. So stupid, as far as I'm concerned the price for group booking like weddings should all be the same as we make them ALOT of money!!!!!!!

Yes I am very excited. Much better then getting married coming home 2 days later and going right back to work, At least we can some time relaxing and enjoying the fact we just got married. Plus we didn't have to sacrifice not having a legal wedding there.. we are still getting married by the judge and all.

We are getting married on the Tuesday april 13th same and Mrs Miltary. you?

That's great!! We are just going to do a ROV - and get married here awhile before, we have to figure out how much time in advance we should do that - I want to wait as close as possible to the date, but someone said paperwork takes awhile. Ah, that's something else I need to look into this weekend! lol...

But yes - we leave the 22 and get married the 28, with our guests leaving the 29. We don't have flight times yet, so I just hope everyone doesn't have to leave too early on the 29th. Then we move to Dreams also on the 29th! So excited.

Happy New Year everyone! Haven't taken too much time to check the site out and get caught up. Now it's time to buckle down and get the guys dressed as well as the girls. My dress comes in for a fitting at the end of March (nothing like cutting it close!). Got a treadmill for Xmas so now there are no more excuses!

How is everyone doing? I got great news over the holidays. My cousin is now coming to the wedding with her boyfriend Ted who just happens to be a photographer! We were not planning to get professional photos done since my brother in law is great at photography and my FI's daughter is studying photography now. However, Ted has offered to do our photos as a wedding present so that will be awesome! We can have guests take photos and he can take some too!

Is anyone doing the disposable camera thing? I still love the idea of guests snapping shots of each other throughout the evening. Anyone else thinking of disposable cameras on the table?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
