I really think it's pretty, but I think the canpy is $250. so I will stick with what is including in the package for this one.
If you want to use the runner, why not wear sandals or flip flops for the ceremony part, then you can put your shoes on! (It's what i decided to do)
Do you know what decorations are included in the package? I've made centerpieces, is there anything else I should worry about bring with me?
I think I'll stick with the sash that is included (the orange) since it matchs the centerpiece, I guess you didn't get the extra cost?
what do you think? will you be upgrading the ceremony?
Thanks so much again!!
Orange sashes come free with the package

I want to get married barefoot, my FMIL has a pair of fancy shoes and has been obsessed with the carpet runner since she heard about it. gahhh

I won't be doing the upgrade since I don't have enough of my green/blue/yellow fabric to cover the canopy and use for chair sashes

I have no idea what the other decor is. My dad is a designer and is planning on using the chair sash fabric and star fish to decorate the restaurant with after we are done with them on the beach, so I'm not too worried about it anymore.

When I get back in late December I will try and write a detailed review with all the info I can for you guys

I've noticed that a lot of you are bringing your own centre pieces, sashes, lanterns etc for your wedding day. I wasn't planning on bringing anything except the OOT bag goodies. Do you think the options they will have there will be very limited and now I should think of bringing centre pieces etc.? I was just going to go with whatever they had to offer as part of the wedding package.

Hi CherryBomb!

Thanks for the reply and for posting the link to the docking station. I printed it out and will definately have to check that out. I haven't heard from Carolina ever (and I wrote to her over 2 weeks ago) but I guess she is extremely busy.

Yes... I better get dress shopping! And I think it will be even more important to know the exact colours of the BM dress because we want a turquoise, but probably more tiffany or oasis colour. There are sooooo many versions of turquoise I am finding! I did my invitations the a turquoise crystal embellishment and ribbon. The ribbon was from Michaels and has some green turquoise in there, vs blue turquoise. Before I get sashes, I think we will have to get the dresses picked so that i know which shade to go with. As I mentioned before, ANYONE who needs chair sashes in an aqua/tiffany/turquoise shade, I will get some and would be happy to pass them along. I would love to have them back for an at home reception (I might use them as table runners if possible), but I have no problem lending them out (even if your wedding is the following week). I am there until April 21st.

I love this site! So many wonderful ideas.

Nonnie, if you want to walk barefoot, do it, don't worry about FMIL. Ditch the carept!! If you want the sand between your toes on your wedding day, you will regret it if you don't.

rgonzalez_83, I would have someone who thought they were going to be in the weding do the Sand Ceremony reading, or have them kinda "in charge" of making sure everything is running smoothly before and after the actual ceremony. It will sorta make them feel like they have an inportant role. Thats just a thought.

I honestly do not mind at all. I just have to find them first! Like I said, I have to go dress hunting with my sister (MH) so we can find the perfect colours and then find sashes to match as close as possible. We can arrange all with Carolina when we are there too. Or we all get together for a drink and make a list of what has to be transfered to the next wedding!

Also...don't give up on Carolina...I think I sent her 4 emails over the last few weeks before I finally tried again yesterday and got a few emmediate responses. These were all in the morning yesterday around 8:30am so maybe try getting her when you know she's at her desk in the a.m.

The reason I made and bring my own centerpiece is because they are not included in the package, they are $60-$65 per centerpiece. That would have thrown me way over budged, even if I just bought 4. I made 1 centerpiece for $6 including vase, beads for the vase! The Laterens for me is the guest favour at dinner (I will get carolina to light them before dinner starts so it'll be a source of light as well!)

DawnBuckley,
Ohhh I would love to use the turquoise sash, but Milter Mrs is getting married the same day, so it might not work out. If it doesn't i will just use the orange (the guest will figure it out later it matchs the centerpieces lol)

I got my ceremony dress today!!!!! I will post pictures tonight!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
