That's the e-mail I've been usig for almost a year now.

Well I've heard the same about Dreams Palm Beach for Weddings, but we know a few people who have stayed there and said everything was great! It's got a good reputation, and the pictures look nice! I'll just be happy to not have to run into my future mother in law for the week! haha.

 

Rick York is not free, he costs 300, however as we are just getting the Renewal of the Vows for 650, the 300 extra is still less than the least expensive wedding package.

 

I would be interested in hearing about the Symbolic Ceremonies more to see if we could save money that way also - however for some reason I do not think they include dinner for the guests, but I could be wrong. If you find out, let me know! The cheapest we could find is the ROV for 650 + Rick for 300.

 

I am stressing about photographers, I just emailed that Julu and he emailed back telling me that's fine and to contact him when I get to Punta Cana, but I am trying to figure out prices for the two sessions I want and do not want to wait until I get there.

 

My FI just booked, so I am really stressed now with all the details and trying to get it all sorted out. The resort confirmed our date, but will not give me a time, which I need to book Rick.

That was the address I was using to contact her for my wedding last year! I was thinking that maybe her inbox is full at the other address (maybe she is off for x-mas and new years?) and that it just bounced back? Otherwise I wish you luck getting through to her on the old email.

my travel agent called me today to tell me that the hotel is no longer selling the rooms at the price quoted for the wedding. My TA has to give names tomorrow, so no one else can book for my wedding.....I'm so disapointed!! there are people that were going to book, now can't unless they want to pay 2000 for double......now I only have 15 going because one person backed out, so now I don't even get the free trip!!!! so screwed for money now, don't know what I'm going to do......

Only because your working with a TA, but if your guest go online on any given website, the can still get a good price.

For instance, My guest who haven't booked yet (which is no one but 1 and my parents) if they want to book right this second, on Itravel the price is $1348 p/p (double) if a guest is booking alone.. add another $300-325 on the price

Awww, I'm so sorry to hear that!!!! That is so upsetting, but Carribeanlover is right guests can continue to check online to see what prices they have. Don't worry about that, but it is unfortunate that they can't go through your travel agent and you can't receive the free trip.

BUT...on the bright side, my TA is brutal and not doing anything for us anyways, so I threatened to have everyone book online to my FI. But, keep your head up and maybe things will change...and again, don't worry about people not being able to book because they can go online!

That happened to us too, but quite a while ago! We confirmed a group rate with itravel2000 and then after the first 5 rooms were reserved, I received a call saying that Sunwing was out of rooms and now any additional guests would have to be first come first serve and have to pay way more and maybe leave on a different day then us. Turns out that now some of our guests are arriving 2 days before us, and some of our guests are paying more than others. I feel it's such a disappointment because it's like they got us to reserve 5 rooms and pay for them upfront to secure a rate and then a few weeks later that rate was no longer valid..plus now we have no way of making our numbers for the free trip. Totally messed up. I remember crying about it when I got that call so I feel your pain! As the other girls said though, just have your guests book through the regular way and they'll probably end up paying a little more but still will be able to book. Having the guests join you will hopefully overshadow the money situation that I'm sure we're all in right now. I think FI and I will be eating tuna sandwiches for the next 3 months to save money! Hope everything gets sorted out for you =)

Sounds like you are realising how non-stress free DW really are. I hope things work out for your guests booking online. The only downside would be that you won't be in nearby rooms, but my group was all spread around the Bavaro section even though we booked with a Travel agent.

if you go to the "about us" section you will find the prices for weddings and sessions, TTD is treated as a session. The most expensive package includes a video of the whole day. All the pictures you see are from the photographer named Peter Reilly. I had a fellow named Andres who I was very very happy with.
