Recommended Posts

oh really!!!!

Maybe someone should send an e-mail to another person..

I found a few contacts maybe one of you can just e-mail this person letting them know your a bride and getting married there, you've been in contact plenty with Carolina but seems no one is able to get throught to her, maybe there is another e-mail add they have for her. or another WC (that would suck if it wasn't Carolina since I am use to her lol) I'll give you a list, not sure who you should contact/

Reception Managers Punta Cana section

Miguel Nolasco <gtreceppc@fiestahotelgroup.com>

Guest Services Managers

Isyuney Peguero <acliente.puntacana@fiestahotelgroup.com>

Reservations Manager

Alberto Jiminez <gtreservas.bavaro@fiestahotelgroup.com>

Let me know how it works out!!! I can't imagine me needing to talk to you right now I'd be flipping!!!

I'm wondering if Carolina changed her email?

She emailed me about 2 months ago to ask for permission to use some of my wedding pics on the new Wedding website they are building for the hotel - I guess since it has become so popular in the last year

(I wish I had all you girls last year when I was planning b/c there was only one other bride married there from this forum).....I have a feeling they are making Carolina exclusively the wedding coordinator instead of spreading her thin by having her be the guest services manager as well.

Last year Isyuney was also a wedding coodinator so I would contact her to see if she has a new contact for Carolina or if she on vacation or something?

Good luck girls! That must be so frustrating! But good news for all future GP brides - a website with all the wedding options!

Hi everyone! Did anyone buy a 2nd dress for the TTD session? I'm wondering where to get mine and need to spend as little money as possible. FI are moving into our new home in January and every last penny is going into that so I'm a bit strapped for the dress. I have my actual "wedding dress" thank god, but still need something I can frolic in the waves and roll in the sand in. Let me know if there are any stores you'd recommend in Toronto or GTA. Thanks!

I just went to bridal stores, I actually found one that had some dress's 50% off so I just look through that rack, and it wasn' my fav but it was only $99 so I said what the heck, and I am so happy I did after bring it in from size 12 it looks amazing for $100. this could be an option for you. lots of dress's off the rack.

Thanks Tracy! I don't want to be left out of all this excitement! I just spent the last half hour catching up! Someone had asked about at home reception... I am planning one in June and FI really wants to have it under a tent in our yard (which is a huge property). The only problem for me would be the food. He wants us to serve hors d'oeuvres and such but we have one oven! So I like the legion idea or there is a community center on our street... maybe with a bit of decorations, this would be better? What's everyone's opinion. I would love to have people at the house but wonder if it's really feasible. Since most of my Montreal friends are not going to be at the wedding, I think we are looking at around 100 or more for the party here.

What's the consensus girls?

Ok, I'm totally freaking out. I am getting married at the Grand Palladium on Feb 20, 2010 and all of my emails to Carolina are bouncing back. I really wanted to get the final details worked out (centerpieces, chair ties, etc things I would have to buy and bring with me if I have to) and now I can't even contact her. I have 78 days til my wedding! Ok, freak out over. Whew.

Hey Dawn, we are planning on having that at home party at our home as well. The only problem is we have to have it indoors because it's a new build and we won't have a lawn yet! Originally we were thinking of bbq'ing but now I think we'll just do open bar and finger foods. I'm thinking of trying to find a caterer in the area that offers these types of platters...maybe even antipasto type platters? I think if we have the party around 7pm on a Saturday and mention on the invites that appetizers and alcohol will be served that people will eat before they come. Between moving in January and the wedding in April we're so tight on cash we just can't offer a full dinner or pay to rent out a venue.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
