Welcome back Mylene, and Congrates on your degree!!! what is your degree in? and a new house? wow must be super busy.. have you been planning at all for the wedding?
Thank you! It's very exciting to finally be all done with school. I did a masters in social work and now work at the hospital here in Ottawa. I love it!

I've actually been spending more time trying to plan our AHR than the wedding in Punta Cana. For the wedding itself we have our date and time and I'm trying not to worry too much about all the other details. There's only 15 of us going down so we won't be having a private reception.

I went to the wedding show in Ottawa a few weeks ago and spoke with a destination wedding planner and she told me that GP in Punta Cana is her #1 choice for DW! It was reassuring to hear that as we all know Carolina can sometimes take time to answer emails!

welcome to Katie and Amanda, welcome back Mylène!!!!

Amanda you have a very large group coming for your wedding, you must be really happy :)

Mylène and Katie : I'm also getting married on the 19th, so we are now 3, what time are you guys getting married athuh.gif I'm getting married at 4h00.
We're getting married at 10am. At first I thought that it was way too early but I'm ok with it now. I think it'll be nice to have some time in between to relax at the pool/beach with our group. We'll just all get dressed up again later on for dinner/disco!

And welcome back Isabelle, I've been sooo busy and then I had H1N1 last week so I had a lot of catching up to do too, Its amazing how many posts we actually do!! lol

Tracy, Were not going to do a beach party, theres 24 of us going down and with the AHR only a week later, I'm just not going to bother doing spending the money on a private party, were all crazy anyways, so we'll all just be drinking at the disco, so ladies on the night of the 13th, the crazy drunk bride, that'll be me! I'm apologizing in advance for being a tacky drunk bride!! lolfriday.giffriday.gif
No one will be able to tell us about on our wedding day, because I'm going to be the tack drunk bride too, so no worries.. we are in this together lol!

We are having even less people. We just figure because we are so little people why not make it a little personally for a few hours, then we will meet you at the disco.

I don't know for the others, but I got lucky because my wedding planner from down here called the minister herself and asked for a favor for my wedding so she got the time for me :)

I don't know... she just gave me a time 2:30pm, but said the time could change if the judge has something else to do. ? whatever that means...

She wouldn't give me a time at all. It really bothered me at first, but theres nothing I can do about it so I'll just have to live with it.

As for the dress, I'm not getting out of it until I have to, then I'm going to put on my other dress, which I got for the disco and the TTD.

But.....I don't want my ceremony in the AM. I really want an afternoon wedding sad.gif

PS - Tracy, You better get drunk with me so I'm not the only tacky drunk bride, I'm going to hold you to it!!! LOL

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
