Thanks for the welcome and congrats! We are staying for 1 week and honeymooning elsewhere the following week - looking forward to sharing ans swapping ideas.

 

For starters - what are you ladies choosing to do with regards to photography? I was checking out the resort recommended "Jalu" and have not made up my mind. Thoughts? Has anyone selected Jalu? I am not interested in spending a small fortune on the services and would prefer to just have the digital images (no album/video/prints). I have asked for a couple estimates and would be interested in some additional feedback. Sadly the photographer we invited as a friend/family has declined to travel and celebrate with us.

I was going to go with the on the resort photographer, but I just didn't like the package he was offering for the amount of pictures I was going to get. So I decided to go with HCD for I think it was 150$ more I got so many more pictures.

There is also 2 other ones I found other BDB are using and highly suggest...

Punta Cana Destination wedding photography (all lot of brides used them, and highly recommend them, i've seen pictures and they were amazing.. little more pricy)

I am not sure how far advance they book up, you might want to contact someone soon.. not sure tho!

wow, there are so many new posts since I've been on! I've been so busy with my new job recently (just finished my masters degree not too long ago) and settling into our new house...it's just been crazy!

I'm using Jalu, I wanted the freedom to wait on booking until we arrived. I'll let you know how things went when I get back.

And welcome back Isabelle, I've been sooo busy and then I had H1N1 last week so I had a lot of catching up to do too, Its amazing how many posts we actually do!! lol

 

Tracy, Were not going to do a beach party, theres 24 of us going down and with the AHR only a week later, I'm just not going to bother doing spending the money on a private party, were all crazy anyways, so we'll all just be drinking at the disco, so ladies on the night of the 13th, the crazy drunk bride, that'll be me! I'm apologizing in advance for being a tacky drunk bride!! lolfriday.giffriday.gif

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
