Married or going to be married at Grand Palladium Punta Cana?

Recommended Posts

Anybody have a price list for a Grand Palladium wedding. Thanks for everybody's input but i see differing prices :S

Is it 50 or 60 per head for the beach reception? Also does the private bartender cost include drinks or are they charged separately.

Also, CaribbeanLove, pics received....thanks again!

Thanks!

I swear it's $60US for the private beach reception. It does include alcohol.

The link is for the wedding packages, they have 2 to pick from, crystal and dimond,ask away if you have anymore question it's what the forum is for!! :)

I'm not sure! good question I wouldn't mind doing the same thing. That is something you would have to speak to Carolina about.
What I decided to do, have the dinner(not private) and then get one of my BM to leave dinner a little early to set up one of the gazebos with paper laterens with light in them and hoock up my Ipod/speakers and dance away. But the guest will have to walk to the bar if they want a drink. (I will suggest everyone bring their mugs I'm giving in the OOT bags)
This way you don't have to pay for a bar tender, or a dj! I know I'm cheap lol

This what Carolina wrote regarding JUST beach party (not dinner):

the extra charge for a beach party is US$ 9 per person for open bar during 3 hours and the DJ service is US$ 250 also for 3 hours.

Here's also what Carolina wrote:

If you decided to have the wedding dinner & reception on the beach the extra charge is US$ 60 per person and includes meal and open bar during 3 hours.

$60 per person is crazy! Unless of course your not goint o hvae a reception when you get home. Then I could understand. But if you have alot of people going, that would cost a fortune!!!!

Tracy, God no I'm not doing my own hair, I'm gonna be on vacation!!!! lol Although I am just curling my girls hair!! lol But there's nothing to that :)

oohhh, I may just reconsider doing a beach party after dinner then, especially if i only have 17 guest in the end it wont cost much at all, and I wont look cheap by doing it in the garden and making people walk to the bar for their drinks, Q: Do I have to hire a dj? Or can I just do my Ipod thing?

Courtney: I wouldn't want you to do your own hair on your vacation/wedding either!!

Oh yeah , curling is nothing, unless of course it's my hair, it never curls!!!

I was considering doing a beach party after dinner as well, instead of paying for a private reception. My concerns with that are: 1) not sure what we would do if the weather isn't great...if it rains or is very windy a beach party might not work out 2) dancing on the beach might be a bit difficult haha (I asked if we could get a dance floor of some sort set up on the beach and Carolina said they didn't have anything to accommodate that) 3) not sure about lighting - you know what its like after dark on a beach - pitch black...not sure if they can provide tiki torches or something?

I think we're going to try for a private reception however I can't seem to get a straight answer our of Carolina as to what accommodations they have for that other than La Uva which is already booked the night of our wedding. She just keeps telling me to book it all when I get there, but if La Uva is already booked, then obviously people are booking in advance. Frustrating! Urgggg.....

Isa and Gooner, the 60$ per person for the beach reception is for the dinner if you want only the reception after dinner here is the info :

Reception on the beach (after dinner):

International Open Bar = $9US per person for 3 hours

DJ = $200US for 3 hours

LIVE BAND = $600US for 3 hours

Private dinner and reception:

Exclusivity of the restaurant for dinner $1000, drinks included at dinner time (soft drinks, wine, beer)

After dinner (in the same restaurant) you can have your private reception:

International Open Bar = $9US per person for 3 hours

DJ = $200US for 3 hours

LIVE BAND = $600US for 3 hours

The latest for a party is until 12:00 midnight.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
