Married or going to be married at Grand Palladium Punta Cana?

Recommended Posts

Hey CL, Carolina told me that the wedding package includes a flower centerpiece for the head table, so I'm hoping that will be okay....who knows, maybe I'll come up with an idea I like and bring something. How do you know how many you'll need, as she couldn't confirm for me where my reception will be let alone how many guests per table etc. Agh, another frustration haha I wonder what this new Convention Centre she mentioned is going to be like? Maybe someone going down there soon can take some sneak peak photos for us?

I'll see what I can do

I was not going to bring anything in terms of decorations with me, but as my wedding gets closure I can't help but form a more clear picture of what I want and I don't want to assume I will like anything the resort has

Courtney,

Are you bring centerpieces? How many people are coming from your guest list?

Nonnie,

If you don't mind spending some extra money, I would worry about the decor since allot is actually included in our package, I am sure Carolina will fix everything up really nice.

I would only think of centerpieces for the guest table. I think 1 would be find for a normal 8 person table.

I had to mention, I got my ceremony dress in today!!!! I hadn't seen it in over a year!!

I posted on show us your wedding dress if anyone wants to check it out!

CaribbeanLover,

You look beautiful! What a gorgeous dress. You bought it over a year ago? Yikes... I better get my butt in gear!

As for the sashes for the chairs, as soon as I order some, we can figure it out. I know you said that Military Mrs has her wedding the same day, but I think I have to buy 50 or 100 sashes (which I could use later for the at home party since its under a big tent here at the house and lots of people are supposed to come). If thats the case, I think it looks nice if only every 2nd chair has a sash. So I have about 30 guests coming (that are confirmed... maybe one or two more, but I doubt it), so we can just split up all the sashes later. We'll figure it out!

Yes... I better get dress shopping! And I think it will be even more important to know the exact colours of the BM dress because we want a turquoise, but probably more tiffany or oasis colour. There are sooooo many versions of turquoise I am finding! I did my invitations the a turquoise crystal embellishment and ribbon. The ribbon was from Michaels and has some green turquoise in there, vs blue turquoise. Before I get sashes, I think we will have to get the dresses picked so that i know which shade to go with. As I mentioned before, ANYONE who needs chair sashes in an aqua/tiffany/turquoise shade, I will get some and would be happy to pass them along. I would love to have them back for an at home reception (I might use them as table runners if possible), but I have no problem lending them out (even if your wedding is the following week). I am there until April 21st.

I love this site! So many wonderful ideas.
I would love to borrow the sashes too if you don't mind. I have about 30 guests booked so far. It looks like I'm the first one to get married in the week :-)

Thanks!! I am very happy with the dress. You may have to get a dress from the rack in order to have enough time to alter it as well. Good luck!! if you need help search on the net let me know I would have no problem helping out, just give me an idea of what your looking for!

That would be amazing. so far my guest list is 17 people lol so I wouldn't need very many!! Thank you. Your so kind!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
