Caribbean lover, Where are you ordering your bags from? I was out and about a few month ago, and went to Chapters. There was a sale rack outside the store with beautiful huge beach bags hanging on one of the rack. Ziper top, smaller bag sown on the inside for key, money wallet what not. I will be giving those out to parents, in laws and MOH. I have smaller ones for the aunts, uncles and friends that come....Is that wrong? I was looking at getting bubba's from Canadian tire when they go on sale. The 20oz mugs are big enough, and perfect size drink. They really keep your drinks cold.....Yay for Bubba's!!!...lol
I found an amazing site for the tote bags. I will have to do iron-on but I did a rough est. and for 12 bags with tax it'll come up to $22.
I like the idea of different bags for different people nothing wrong with that at all.
I like the bubba keg idea too. I just went to canadian tire, nothing on special yet. I'll wait as well see what goes on special, especially boxing day!
Sounds like you got a great start on the oot bag items.
The spanish for dummies, I figured save money and print them myself.

that's a great deal for the bags.... I'm also wondering if Staples or a print shop like that would be able to print on the bubba's.....like our names and date, not something too tacky though...I should give them a shout!!

How long are you at the resort for, and what color's are you doing for your wedding? I'm so on the fence now I don't know what to think.....

Has anyone bought their dress for April? Am I outrageously behind?

I am in the same boat for the reception. Bringing my iPod but not too sure how all of that will work. Don't want to be up and down flipping through music so maybe I will ask a cousin or someone to help out during the evening.

Caribbean lover, since my wedding is the evening before yours, maybe we can touch base at some point and I will let you know how things worked out! Trial by error (ugh). I guess this means I need to bring a bulky docking station. I think I will leave my music worries until the end.... yep... that'll be the last thing I work on.

Have you gals finished your OOT bags? Or are you doing those? I bought the coolest, prettiest bags on ebay! They arrived recently and I was thrilled with the quality... so much more vibrant and larger than anticipated. I thought they were small but figured I would give one to each female guest and a different bag for the men, but these are roomy enough to put two of several items (mugs, room key holders, etc.) in each one so the couples can share them. As soon as I have the contents together I will post photos. Anyone else working on OOT bags?
I bought my dress in july :)

For the reception, I'm doing my reception on the beach in the evening with a DJ. It was important to me to have my first dance and have a private reception with family and friends :)

Are oot bags really important?!?! I liked the ideal at first, but then I talked to a few people that tought it was alot of money for nothinghuh.gif
Do you guys do oot bags for everyone?? I have 30 people including 3 teens and 2 kids?!?

I don't have a ton of people coming with me, so oot bags is just something special to thank them for making it all that way for my wedding. If I had 30+ it would def brake my bank.....you can keep them farely simple also, up to you on how elaborate you want to be!!

I really want to do OOT bags, but I am thinking of spending the money on reception favors (engraved shot glasse, candles, and candy). I feel very indecisive lately because there are so many options!! Just like many,I was 100% for the beach wedding but the new gazebo has be questioning what would be best. Argh!

I really don't think there is anything wrong with just doing something really nice for the reception favour as suppose to OOT bags. I think the only reason I am even doing OOT bags is because we aren't having allot of people come. SO i thought it would be nice to show how much we appreciate their travels. But if we were to have 50 people. I would do just that, engrave shoot glass. Or something around the lines.
This site does give allot of ideas, sometimes to much! lol

We're not exactly doing OOT bags either. It's just too pricey. We have 30+ people, so what we have done is get each guest a Bubba Keg, and they will have our monogram on them. I'm also giving each female guest foot jewellery, but I'm unsure of what to give to the guys - ideas?

I think I might do a small favour for the reception, but nothing huge.

Oh, and here are the pictures of the chair sashes I promised - Iwas having problems uploading pics before.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
