Married or going to be married at Grand Palladium Punta Cana?

Recommended Posts

It make take some time to get a reply as this is a busy time for weddings. You're best bet is to go to a travel agent and book through them!

Their fees are normally "hidden" in the rate you pay. So it depends. Sometimes it's cheaper to book a vacation package yourselves online...not sure where you live but Travelocity if you're in the US, itravel2000.com and selloffvacations.com if you're in Canada, etc. often have the best rates. However, if you want to get a group rate (a standard rate for you and all your guests) your best bet is a travel agent...we did this and the online rates couldn't compare to what our TA got us.

Travel agent got us a much better group rate plus the bonus free nights for booking "x" amount of rooms.  I would suggest starting with a travel agent and emailing the wedding coordinator at the resort immediately to book a date.  I am sure that June is probably pretty full.  You can submit a request also at http://www.palladiumweddings.com/en/

I have another question.  I am leaving in a week and I'm starting to think about the menu.  I know lots of brides have said that the beef medallions are excellent.  I am concerns about how it's cooked, a lot of people have different taste, some like their meat red and some others like myself like their meat well done.  Does servers come and ask how everyone wants it cook or do they only do it one way for everyone.

From what I have read from past brides is that they serve it one way and don't ask guests how they would like it.  I believe if you do not specify, it is cooked well done.  I am not 100% certain, but this is what I believe has been mentioned from brides.

Yes, I believe others have said that they cook it all the same way for everyone so there's no choice between rare, medium, well-done on an individual basis. However, I'd actually be kinda surprised if it was well-done. I find from all the times I've been to resorts in the Dominican that they lean more towards undercooking red meat than over cooking it...I find their hamburgers are even rare (ick!). Actually, the best steak I ever ate in my entire life was in the Dominican...it was the most perfect medium-rare!! Lol

Well if is is cook the same way for everyone, that means some people will not like it.  I think someone who like their steak rare could always eat their well-done but it doesnt always work the other way around.  I couldn't eat steak that has a little bit of red or blood, it really gross me out.  I guess that if I go with the chicken, there is only one way to cook it.  Does anyone know if the chicken Tetrazzini had good review??

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
