Married or going to be married at Grand Palladium Punta Cana?

Recommended Posts

Well, plus, all of my guest which is 30  - 40 are booked in the Royal Suites Section with Honeymoon suites, Romance Suites, and Deluxe Swim ups, so that should account for something too.  I really thinking it is not going to be an issue once we are there...fingers crossed.

I had seen this in a past post but cannot find it. Do one of you ladies have a picture of the colors of the sashes that are provided by the resort?  there was a picture someone had of all the different color sashes tied to a chair, but cannot find it now.

Hey Kitty!

Sorry I have been MIA from this thread....so much going on in life here it's getting in the way of my internet down time!!

Anyways, the sports bar is open 24 hours a day and yes there is an outside area. We did our Welcome Drinks at Hemingways and there were about 30 of us. We got there about 8pm and took over half the bar, if we had gotten there at 9 we wouldn't have gotten space. The sports bar has your basic drinks and food and Hemingways has more drink options. We loved Hemingways and it became an unofficial meeting place due to the drinks and the bartenders!

Hope that helps!

Kitty,

I have to agree with Shelia. Hemingways has more of a  lounge feel to it and their drinks are probably the best on the resort. The Sports Bar is not much of a bar at all actually. It's more of a common area with tables, fooseball and one small televison from what I can remember. Don't get me wrong we loved the sports bar because of the munchy food options but it's not your typical sports bar you would find in Canada or the USA. There is a small area outside the Sports Bar that has small tables but it wouldn't accomodate a lot of people. I would say your best bet would be Hemingways.

Well, at least at see fuschia pink in these so that is what I am going to use for the beach ceremony.  I wanted black sashes and table runners for the reception so I just ordered those.  They were on sale and really cheap at http://www.tableclothsfactory.com/Default.asp?Redirected=Y and I figured I could use them again.  My mom said she is going to make sure that I get everything I brought back since I've read that sometimes they will keep things.  Good to know that they have such wide variety of colors thanks for letting me know :)

Thanks for the input girls!  I was leaning towards Hemingways so that's what I will go with.  I am thinking cocktails around 6:00ish so people can mingle and then go to dinner.  Most of my guest are coming in on Thursday (a few Friday) & we are getting married on Saturday, so I was thinking of doing the welcome cocktails on Thursday night and maybe meeting at the Royal lobby bar or something for drinks on Friday night because it is my mom's birthday.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
