No. In the Bavaro section they offer three room categories, one being a "Romance Suite" with a mayan shower, hammock, jacuzzi, and canopy bed.

I am hoping someone from the hotel will get back to be on it, but didn't know if anyone here had that type of room before.

Thats too funny! I asked for the 28th or 29th at 5pm but all she had was the 28th at 2pm.. but then said the time was subject to change lol. So I was like, I'll take it! (since I didn't have much choice) I am a little sad because I was hoping for a later time since we aren't doing the legal stuff there, but well be happy with whatever happens!

2 pm is still good because you'll have lots of light for your pictures afterwards!! Theres always a plus!!
Thanks for easing my mind! I think we are just going to get a junior suite and be done with it. We won't be in our room that much anyway. We were thinking about the Royal Section, but our guests won't be there so it's probably better if we are all in the same section. Plus, the Royal Section hasn't released prices. I'm just going to book it before I change my mind again! hehe!

Also, I am sure Carolina is busy, but I sent an e-mail back to her Wednesday saying we would take the 28th at 2pm and asked her what information or deposit she needed from me.... but its Sunday and still do not have a response. Should I fill out a request on the Palladium Weddings website, or just wait for a response back? I just want to book our resort stay and the wedding date so I can stop worrying about everything!

P.S. Thanks for all of your help! I truly appreciate it!

You don't need to send a deposit, If she thinks you are going to take that date, I'm sure she wouldn't give it away. I know how frustrating it is when she doesn't email you back, she rarely ever emailed me, but everything was wonderful!! I'm can't stress enough how amazing she is. She will have a file with your names on it and all the info you give her she will have in there. Try not to stress out about it like I did. It makes it sooo much more enjoyable. After all, once its all done, its all done sad.gif So take it in and be as excited as you can be :)

hi! Sorry been MIA, no internet! ugh. lol

We are all staying in the Bavaro section fro our wedding. FI and I have the Romance Suite, we saw it last year when we did a tour with Carolina and FI and groomsmen loved the outdoor hammock and shower. I mentioned Royal Suite, but he wants that hammock. He'll prolly use it once lol. It was very cool looking though. Like a completely closed in hut outdoors. If you want to wait to book that room and start with a jr suite, til I get back I'll let you know if it's worth the upgrade. The jr. suites and the deluxe rooms were all very nice. Deluxe was smaller though so that's the way to go if you really don't think you need the space and just plan to sleep and change there.

MilitaryMrs.s-to be.... Thank you for the information! I think I will give her until this Friday to respond, and then maybe resend my e-mail to her. She seems really nice and helpful. I am sure she is just busy with weddings. I can't imagine how many people she has to deal with.

sap.... I think I may just do that. I'll book the Junior Suite and you can let me know how the Romance Suite is. Then, maybe we'll upgrade. I think if we were just going for our honeymoon we would do the Royal Section, but I don't want to be secluded from everyone else. You must be getting so excited now that your date is almost here! I can't wait to hear how everything goes!

Hi!!

I agree with Military Mrs, don't stress (harder said then done) but no need for a deposit, once you confirm and she confirms, it's all done. It all worked out for us it'll def work out for you.

For the rooms. We booked the royal side for 2 weeks, the first week with our guest on all on the Punta Cana side. We didn't get to eat at the royal gourmet once during the first week, I think we had room service once the first week, since we were always on the other sides our guest could be. So your right you def would either not use the royal side, or not spend a lot of time with your guest.

If your thinking of doing 10days or 2 weeks, maybe split your time. I can def say the royal was worth everything with the window for the room service which is 24 hours, the royal gourmet resto was the best (to die for steaks!!!!) but if you can't the other sides are great too!! :)

I'd find out how much it'd cost to book the jr suite and then upgrade later as suppose to the cost of just booking the honeymoon suite at first (it might be a big cost difference)

Thanks! Hopefully I get a response from Carolina this week! I think I will feel much better after I hear back from her! And I am planning on booking our room this week so after all of that is done.... I should have some weight lifted off of my shoulders!

I have actually been pretty laid back with the whole thing, but I feel like everyone is making it seem like I am being too laid back. I didn't look for a wedding dress yet since I am trying to go simple and every female I talk to is like, "OMG! You need to get a dress ASAP!" And since our date isn't officially confirmed with Carolina I didn't send out STD's or anything... so the girls (friends/family) are freaking about that as well. I am trying to make it simple, but I feel like everyone is putting this additional pressure on me! I am sure you all have went through this stuff as well... but does it EVER end? LOL!

sorry, what date are you looking for again?!?!

I can understand how frustrating family and friends can be. One min they want you to have all the info, then once it's time for them to book, you'll get some people not doing it at the time you'd like. Sooo annoying!!!

I am sure you'll hear from Carolina by this week, and then you can send out STD's. i say if you give people 7mths-yrs notice, it shouldn't be a problem!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
