Married or going to be married at Grand Palladium Punta Cana?

Recommended Posts

I just got info from DJ Mannia...they can bring a dance floor...if I add the DJ and floor it costs about the same as privatizing the restaurant without the DJ and using our ipod. Any opinions on DJ Mannia?

Another question...(i'm finally cracking down on getting everything planned! lol) Does anyone know if I bring cake boxes, if they will give cake to the guests to bring to their room? I keep hearing about how the cake is huge and everyone is too full too eat it! lol. So I thought it might be nice. :)

All of you girls are THE BEST! You are all so helpful! I greatly appreciate it! Just one other question... if I email the WC requesting a date and a time (or fill out the online form), will I get any other type of confirmation since I am not paying a deposit? I just don't want to get there and them have no knowledge of my wedding taking place. Anyone experience any problems or suggest what to do to prevent these problems from occurring? Thanks again for alllll of your help!

sorry I haven't heard of him, never did research for DJ's as I knew the resort had them (I also didn't need a dance floor)
Is the quote for 3 hours? cause that's the time length for the beach party.

I'm sure you can bring cake boxes and give it to Carolina to bring to the restaurant, she'll tell the server's. But it could get a little confusing, with ppl who ate it and ppl who didn't. What I did was I served the cake for dessert and suppose to getting a dessert from the menu. Everyone ate it.
It was def a great cake (and it was big)

Are you looking for a legal ceremony, or a symbolic one (will you marry first in your home town?)
If it's a legal ceremony, you ask for the date you want, and time. WC will then check in with the judge, she'll let you know the days and times when the judge is free around the date you ask for (hopefully the day u ask for)
Once you confirmed by email you want that time and date, she'll re confirm. None of us has had any problems for not having to put a deposit.
Bring your email of her confirming your time and date (you wont need it, but bring it anyway)
Ask away!!! :) :)

carribbeanLover... We are planning to do the ROV ceremony since we will legally be married here before we leave. I am guessing a judge isn't needed for this but I could be wrong. Thanks for your help! Did you email about your date or time or did you fill out a form on the palladium weddings website?

The cakes seem to be the same size, but we had 40+ guests, so there was no leftover cake. Our guests ate the cake and there was no additional dessert.

I had Mannia, and purposely paid for the private reception, because we had some great dancers in our group too! The dance floor fit everyone because the restaurant is huge, and you don't need all the tables that are there. We did long tables with 8-10 people at each.

No the judge is not needed for a ROV!! :)
I emailed her and ask her for april 10th, she let me know the days the judge was free (she gave me 3 days but I did a legal one, you have more options since no judge is needed) so I picked the 13th, since it was the closes date to the original one I picked one I had my wedding planned for Jamaica.

Ohhh sounds like you had a great time for your reception Steph, any pics?!?!?!
BTW I really liked the bouquet you chose, I sooo should have done something like this, but I don't remember even seeing it in the book, how'd did you get it?!?!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
