Make sure to go after easter. Holy week (week before easter) Catholic countries, especially the DR and Mexico, limit the things guests can do, like no use of jet skis, no motorized boats, ect. The week after easter will probably be really busy but fun. Alot of Europeans take their "holiday" around that time. I think it will be a real fun week though. You don't want the hotel to be dead.
OMG, Tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!! elefant.gif I'm so excited for you. Hope the weather is great for the whole week for you guys!!!!
I'll be thinking about you on your wedding day, and be very excited to hear back from you.

I agree I originally wanted the first week of April for our wedding, but then I heard hardly anything is open that week and no weddings.
The second week of April (when we were there) it was busy but not overly crowed, It was perfect (always found a loung chair, and never had to wait in line for the restaurants minus 2 times)

Courtney, I liked the the bathtub in the bathroom your right it gave much more space in the bedroom plus you got a little sitting area.
Some of our guest had them in the room, others had in it the bathroom (the room in the bathroom is bigger then if you got one in the room)

I'm trying to get this review up by tonight!!
It's long lol cause it's a review of the entire resort (Punta Cana side and the ROyal) plus it's a wedding review... lost of pics!

Agreeed!!! The review can wait! One month for me!!!! so excited...

I just wanted to thank all the brides who were married -- I thought this thread would be DEAD after your weddings, and I really appreciate (as I'm sure the others do as well) you coming and checking/giving us answers!! I don't know what I would do without you all! It's so nice to hear stories, and have an idea of what to expect!!

Just wanted to thank you! :)

I had the room in the Punta Cana section with the jacuzzi in the room, and I actually liked it better than the other rooms, since it meant we had a normal shower. I think too though I was just really happy with where our room was. We were in block 4 with the room closest to the beach overlooking the gazebo where we got married.

Carolina had to go in for wrist surgery, she'll need at least a month or so off.

Oh no!! so you don't think she'll be back?/ Bahhhh!!! Kenia seems okay -- but we had a run in a few months ago, she wasn't answering ANY of my questions when she would write back, so I told her I wanted to deal with Carolina again! I wasn't snippy -- but I was definately frustrated and I'm sure she could tell!!

YES !! 1 month 3 days!! woot... but we leave sooner than that!

I need a pool too!! It's 30 here too!! omg!

I'm not sure!! I'm crossing my fingers for you she IS back, I know I wouldn't have wanted to deal with anyone other then Carolina. But I did see the assistant doing a wedding one of the days I was there, and the couple looked happy! So I'm sure if she isn't back she'll get the job done!

when do you leave?

Ohhh I know sooo hot!!! Not complain.. just wish I had an ocean to jump in lol!!!

Amazing!!

Which dreams, the Palm beach or Punta Cana one?

You'll hav to let me know how that one is, since we're planning (yes already!!) our trip for next year for our anniversary (if the oil spill doesn't kill the ocean by then)

I'd love to know if I should consider going somewhere else this time around (altho it'll be hard to beat the Royal section!!)

Picking a resort for me was mostly based on how quickly I got replys back from the WC and wether or not I'd get more confused when I get a reply back (I had this experince when I originally planned it in Jamaica, I'd send an email, get a reply that'd make me more confuse then when I first ask the question)

But it the mean time we're here for any questions. Once you get there you'll get all the info and what/how it'll all go down!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
