Are you decorating the place, or bring stuff done, or you will just deal with however it normally gets set up?
I don't know what to do!
I'm having the beach party after dinner, the only decoration that I'll bring is my centerpieces from dinner, I'm just gonna transfer them to the beach party.

i am having a beach party, and i am letting Carolina set it up as she normally does, with whatever they have there... it all comes back to weight restrictions on the flight, and i don't want to haul stuff all over the place. i am sure they will have plenty of decorations there, and if not what you want you can probably find a supplier there in the DR.

ohhh I like the idea of bring the centerpieces, what are you centerpieces? who will transport it?

I think I'll go with you said Katie, just let Carolina do her thing, and not worry about it.

Talk about the luggage weight, I have no room for the out of towners OOT bag, so I will have to fedex them their bags for them to pack themselves!!! So your right I have no idea why I'm even considering bring decor for the beach lol.

Thanks for your reply's!! :)

Oh Tracy, I feel your pain! We have been packing and repacking and it's those OOT bags that are putting us over the weight limit every time! Thankfully my sister was here for Easter and took about 10 bags with her. We are fortunate that Doug has two teenagers who pack light! They don't know it yet, but they'll both be carrying TWO pieces of luggage! :)
We still have to shuffle things so no one is overweight (so to speak!)

It's coming so fast, isn't it girls? It's 4 a.m. right now and I am still working on the Welcome book! To be honest, the dog woke up and wanted out so I am waiting for her! I only have two more pages of the welcome book to print but my printer (oh BROTHER) is out of Cyan...(of course it is... we just replaced all the colored cartridges!) So off to Staples tomorrow.

Haven't put the music on CDs yet either. Tomorrow our dog sitter (my old neighbour from where I grew up in Chateauguay) is coming over. She is out of work so it's perfect. She will be here with the dogs for two weeks. It's a double dose of luck... she will also feed the budgies. Yahooo... SHE is staying at OUR pet hotel. Awesome!

Okay well I guess none of you are up so I will go back to bed and hopefully will remember to check back in later! I don't want to miss the rendez vous once we are there so I should go back and read some old postings... or could just ask you gals... where and when are we meeting? I leave Wed. at 3 a.m. Of course I will see Martine (?) on the plane! I'll just look for the other girl carrying a wedding dress (that'll be my first clue!)

Goodnight (morning) ladies!!woot.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
