I totally agree, they are so much nicer then what is included with the package.I was like that too, didn't care to much about what bouquet I had. But I spent to much time on here, made me care lol!!

By the way, Welcome to the thread!! and congrats... where are you from in Ontario?

Question about table decor for dinner -- is anythign included in the package for that? I would like to know if I need to bring stuff, buy flowers etc.
Yup, they are daises if I am not mistaken, you can make the decision when you see the flowers whether or not you want to upgrade.

For the head table there is 1 center piece that is included in the package, if your having other tables (as suppose to one big table) the other pieces are $60
So I made my own, fake flowers in a vase with clear crystal looking things, and seashell candle holders (with candles) to go around it for the guest tables. the head table will have the one is included and seashell holders on the ledge of the whole table. If I made any sense here!

Thanks! I pop in a lot and have made a comment here and there - thanks for the welcome.
We are getting married April 28th and departing on the 25th with 56 of our closest friends and family - I feel very lucky and look forward to the whole experience. So far so good with everything...

I am from Kitchener-Waterloo.

Cheers,
Mano

I have a question again for the girls who have already been married.. I'm making my play list for my Ipod and making a list for the MC, who will be doing my music for the ceremony and reception plus doing all the announcing.

Did you have music playing during the cutting the cake, and signing the papers?

I really hope so, I picked some funny songs! Oh and did you do the cake cutting during the ceremony part, or at dinner?

Thanks so much!!

Whoa! You ladies have been busy on this thread since I've been on! This site hasn't been working for me! Its fustrating! Every time I try to post it takes to long and times out!! urghh!

So I emailed Carolina ad asked her to email me right away to ask if we needed our birth cert legalized and asked her to email right away so I could send me papers away, that was over a week ago, so I sent them anyways and still haven't heard from her!

As for the decor, I'm not going to do anything for the dinner tables I don't think, we're having a huge reception a week later with the full meal deal, real flowers, just like we left the church, so I don't think I'll need any extras the day of....Which I'm almost positive I'm going to regret!! lol So I very well could change my mind by the time I get there!! lol

I'm def going to upgrade my bouquet, and my girls aren't carrying flowers, their going to have parasols instead, and I'm getting everyone who needs boutniers (don't mind the sp!) at Michael's...they make them for like $10 bucks, so since there fake they will be able to keep them for the reception :)

ok I've said way to much, I won't be mad if ya didn't read all that!! hahah

Hello ladies-

Well we are back from a beautiful week in the DR, in which every day was sunny except for our wedding day. I wanted to post some pics, but I'm at work, so I'll try again later. I can answer some questions though. As for making a renewal of vows look "real", don't worry about it. We had my grandfather perform the ceremony and didn't sign a fake paper. No body noticed. just like nobody notices when people sign the marriage certificate at regular weddings. There was a sound system available for walking up and down the aisles, and that was included in the package. There are several colors of chair sashes available (we used the aqua ones) but if you want a very specific color, you might be out of luck. The bouquet that is included in the package was nice, but since I had a specific look in mind, I upgraded my bouquet, my bridesmaids, my mom and MIL coursage and bouts for the men for $200 total.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
