Guess what girls!!

 

i went to Lowe's today to get some keys made and decided to check out the Nursery and Landscaping section and guess what i bought?

 

4' long bamboo stalks for $0.57 EACH!

 

Yes, i was able to get 40' of bamboo for a little over $6.

 

FI said that it will very easy to slice them (we are figuring 10" for each handle so 4 per 4' stalk) and slice a 1" or 1 1/2" slice at the top to glue the programs in.

 

YEAH!!!

where did you get the picture of these fans from?? They are wonderful! I really like the look of them! Thought maybe someone on this board had made them, and had posted instructions on how to do it! Otherwise, let me know how you make them! I want to make them too! :)

I am also looking to do a fan for my wedding with a bamboo handle and came across your thread. Would you happen to still have the contact for that bamboo handles you used for your fans at your wedding? Thanks.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
