So mad at CasaMagna Marriott!!!!

Recommended Posts

OMG! I have had the worst two days trying to secure my room block with the CasaMagna Marriott it is unreal!

I was told that they have 35 rooms reserved for me and that the contract would be emailed last week. When I didn't get a contract, I called and I was told that a larger party is coming and they had to release my rooms! WHAT!?! I just spoke with the director of events and she offered me 10 rooms and that was it. She said they were sold out, how in the world could they be sold outhuh.gif? I am so angry right now, I probably don't make any sense.

I totally thought I had this part all done and now I have to start from square one. Ugh!!!

Wow Yari, that really sucks.. I would ask to speak to the "director of events" supervisor. If that doesn't get you anywhere ask to speak to his supervisor... and up the ladder until you get to some one that can do something about it.. I would consider speaking to some one at Marriott Corportate as well.

sorry to hear that,

I am currently writing a letter right now.

Get this, my FI is a Gold member of Marriott and he travels about 50-60% for work and always stays at the Marriott. He also has 16 direct reports that travel more and stay at the Marriott. They are looking to lose some serious cash! He is super pissed too.

I am so going up the ladder, high up as I can go. Don't make a bride mad!!!!

I need to change the resort. It really stinks cause lots of my FI family members already booked all inclusive packages with the Marriott, but they are going to cancel.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
