Recommended Posts

its not nearly done but i have one gallery up. the engagement gallery. i love this site and the new great big pics but im very concerned about loading time. id appreciate it if anyone has a chance to take a look and let me know especially how the loading time is and being a bride, if its a little slower, would you stick around to see the pics? i know once its cached on your computer its a lot faster but i need to know about that first visit. thanks so much.

heres the link and just click on galleries - then engagement is the only gallery there. thanks so much. i know you all are busy.

ps - if you know your internet connection type could you also let me know. and if the pictures seem chopped off funny on the sides. i know its going to format differently to different screen sizes but i cant control that i dont think. thanks!

also please dont worry about hurting my feelings. if you dont like something please let me know. and if you wouldnt wait around to see it if its too slow please tell me!

I love the new site and I love the little circle counter so you know how much longer you have. the pics do load a little slower but since they are so big its understandable. I think the site looks great and I can't wait to see more pics...

I agree with Christine - I noticed that they did load a little slow, but I'm one that if I see progress (the little circle) I'd be more likely to stick around. And it was a little slow, but I don't think it was unbearable, not sure I would have really noticed had you not asked. And it's so nice that the pics are big - it makes you want to see them all!

But I also had a little extra incentive ... I got to see myself! lol I just said to Paul "we're on Leigh's website!" It was fun to see those pics again - its seems so long ago, but was really just last winter - probably exactly a year ago.

P.S. I have DSL and connect at 54.0 Mbps

I wouldn't be likely to stay for the whole thing. But, I'm part of the mtv generation. I like my pictures to flash at me quickly.

I like a new picture every 2 seconds. I usually get impatient with most slideshows & click the next button myself to speed it up.

I'm not sure what my connection speed is. I'm at Duke University & we have internet through the building. It's fast, but I don't know what you would call it. We connect to the internet through a cable that clicks in like a phoneline. It's definitly not dial up though.

Well I have to be honest with you, I'm not one to stick around on a website that is loading to slow or if slideshows are going from slide to slide really slow. I like that it has a counter, but I don't think I would keep watching after I noticed each new slide takes awhile to load.

Maybe it's my work computer running it slower, so I'll try it at home as well.

I totally agree with Morgan - too slow for me during the slideshow. I don't like to wait that long and I would try to click forward myself or move on to another site. NO OFFENSE. You asked for honest feedback.... The photos are AMAZING though!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
