i need feedback on new website speed please :)

Recommended Posts

NOTE: this was written after the 2nd time you changed the interval & befor the 3rd time. I got to talk to coworkers so it took me a while to post.

This time it took about 5 seconds to change at first. Then it got quicker taking about 3 seconds. Later it only took 2. That's the speed I like. But occasionally it would take 5 again.

My favorite layout is to be able to see all the thumbnails at once. It will play a slideshow, but if I want to skip to a particular one I can. I also like to be able to skip to the next picture when I get bored with one or pause if I want to look at one longer.

When I was hunting for a photographer, I typically went straight for their blog so I could scroll quickly through pictures.

good feedback everyone. i think i can live with 2-5 seconds per pic. i may take the gallery down to 30 and see if that helps too. 30 was the most i wanted in a gallery but i had a hard time narrowing these down more.

i cant do more thumbnails per page cause the pic is taking up the entire thing. my site right now has more thumbnails per page. and the blogs not going anywhere :) so thats good!

Are you changing the layout of your current gallery to this? I just went to your current website to see how it works now. I really prefer the current style. It's done exactly the way I like. But, that's just me. Others might like the larger pictures. The large pictures really do show off your work better.

yeah, the bigger pictures do show off the pictures more. Even if it doesn't let you use as many thumbnails. It's all about the pictures really.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
