Dreams Tulum Photographer

Recommended Posts

I have a ton of questions about preparing for a destination wedding, so if I get "thread happy," bear with me!! My fiancé and I are going with the Ultimate package at Tulum and aren't planning on bringing in our own photographer. Were most of you happy with the job the photographer did at Tulum or would you recommend bringing in an outside vendor? Can you even do that there (bring in outside vendors), because other places I have looked at didn't allow it. We are on a semi-tight budget and feel with 50 pictures from the photographer & our guests taking pictures, we will be set. I just want to make sure the 50 we get are worth it!!! Let me know if you were pleased with the photographer there! Thanks!

Hi, welcome! I'm a Dreams Tulum bride. They do allow outside vendors so if you do decide on an outside photographer no problems there. There is atleast 1 lady on here, (sorry can't remember her name = )) who used the resort photographer and I think they did a great job! I am using an outside photographer but pictures to me are at the top of my list. If you decide to use their photographer you will still get some great shots. They do a really good job.

I know LisaG had pictures taken from their photographer ; read her review (do a search) and you will see a few of her pics

There was no problem. We did not use the resort for the wedding itself tho.
Lizzy, you didn't get married at Dreams Tulum ?
Hum... what made you want to get married elsewhere, especially that the resort is so beautiful ?

I can't wait to see your pictures ! Can you post a few ? bunny_4.gif

usually people say not to go with the resort photographer because they aren't very good. Well I have seen some pictures from Dream Tulum's photographer and I was impressed, they are actually very good. That being said I decided to bring my own photographer because pictures I am OBSESSED with pictures (I will be looking at them nonstop for like a year when I get back!)

From the sounds of it, the resort photographer will be enough to make you very happy.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
