Recommended Posts

OK a small order of french fries at McD's or similar is 9 points... you can make this recipe for 3 points and a lot more to eat!

Seasoned Sweet-Potato Fries - 3 pts.

Ingredients:

- 1/2 pound (8 oz.) of sweet potatoes

- Cooking spray (olive oil flavored)

- Salt

- Garlic powder

- Red chili powder

Directions:

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees

- Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray

- Slice sweet potatoes into thin strips

- Put sliced potatoes in a bowl and spray with cooking spray to coat

- Add salt, garlic powder and chili powder and toss to coat

- Spread out on cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes

- Occasionally flipping fries with a spatula

- Cook until crispy on outside and soft on inside

Eat with a 1/4 cup of ketchup for 1 additional points

Mmm Kash those sound yummy!

When my mom is trying to cut out flour she makes pasta out of grated squash and serves it with fresh tomato sauce. Not sure how many points that is but it is very healthy :)

Yay! I;m glad you guys liked them. I figured if anyone has recipes that are sort of substitutions of traditionally caloric recipes we can post them here. What do you think?
