Reception Dinner ideas???

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

We are having a very small wedding (approximately 10-12 people including us) and are getting married at Paradisus Punta Cana. I don't think any of the reception packages are really right for us (as there will be so few of us) but we want to do something for our guest (and for ourselves) that is more than just having a dinner at one of the hotel's restaraunts. We are thinking that it would be nice to have a sunset dinner cruise on a private boat (we are getting married at 6:00 PM so it would have to be in the evening), but I can't seem to find any information on hiring a boat and crew for this type of event. Idealy it would include a meal and some music. Has anyone come across any information on such an activityhuh.gif? PLEASE!!!! I have googled and and yahooed myself to the point of sheer Fraustration!!!

Hi... we are getting married at ppc on april 25th- I had the same problem too.

We are a party of 22 including us and I didn't think anything worked for us.

I called vivana and she gave me great ideas. We wanted a DJ for a few hours because the night life at the resort is limited. So she suggested combining one of the buffet menues and having the reception dinner at marino. Open bar and dinner and the restaurant is not private but will be closed on the side we are on. For 3 hours-

I rented the boat for snorkeling the next day- but they dont do food just drinks for 500.00 us $

The palma real paradisus does have a package with a boat- the wc sent it to me when I was deciding between the locations. See if you can contact kelly i think her names is at the other hotel. the boat package is dinner

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
