Irrational fears?

Hi folks, I'm a new ROR bride to be and I'm starting to get major tummy butterflies. I've been reading through all these threads for the last two days and am finding myself worrying about things I never even thought of! The biggest thing I'm worried about is that I've made no contact (personally) with Chandlyn or anyone else at the resort itself. My wedding is April 8 and I've tried emailing Chandlyn but can't seem to get the correct email adress for her no matter how many different ones I try!. My TA has made all the arrangements thus far but I guess my question to all of you is should I be in contact with Chandlyn at this stage of the game or try to convince myself that it will all work out. I have this fear that we're going to get to the ROR and they're gonna be like "what wedding?" this is completely irrational right? The last email I got back from someone with the RIU was the wedding sales consultant that informed me Chandlyn would contact me when we got one or two months before the wedding, is this normal? AGHHHHHHH freaking out a lil! girl_werewolf.gif

I have freak out moments all the time. I e-mail the coordinator about everything! You can rationalize that while it is your wedding, they are professionals and do this all the time. Some other girl is getting all of her attention right now, just like you will when it's your turn. So that is the rational thought but it is still extrelemy frustrating!

Your fear is completely understandable! But like previously mentioned the coordinators do this daily and I think sometimes they forget that we dont do this daily (ha). So to them it is very routine. I have heard of them not being in contact until it gets 1-2 monts from your wedding but I would still try to contact the coordinator now for peace of mind if nothing else. No offense to your TA but you dont need the added stress.

hi gals, from what i've read on this forum chandlyn takes a while to get back to you, and you may end up feeling in the dark for a while. check out the jamaica section, where this (and loads of ROR stuff)has been discussed extensively.

When I first booked my wedding at ROR, I was told the same thing (that I could contact her 1-2 months prior to the wedding). But, I wanted to ensure that the reception, welcome party, etc. were booked, so I emailed Chandlyn directly (using the email address that the girls already posted). She does take awhile to get back to you, but if you're worried about certain details, definitely email her.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
