Q: What is the meaning of peacock feathers?

 

A: The peacock feathers are considered by the poets and mystics as a symbol (sign) of beauty, and a sign of vanity. And they are included in all the kingly grandeurs. And the peacock is the bird upon which rode the goddess of music and literature, Saraswati. Also the peacock feathers are used at the tombs of the Sufis, by the guardians of the tomb. so i guess its ok to use them. looks like they mean diff things to diff cultures so im my own and i always loved them so f it. problem solved. and if ANYONE (and there always that ONE person) who says "omg these are bad luck" im gonna be fighting in my gown. nah syke. haha

I'm incorping peacock feathers into my wedding. Not over load, but I def love them and want the colors.

 

So is it b/c I'm using peacock feathers in my flowers that I'm seeing them everywhere now, or were they always around like this? (Kinda like when you get a new car, you see the car EVERYWHERE after that, but of course they were always there, u just didnt notice) I've def seen cock feather's (BLAHAHAHHAH) around before but I feel like they're out there more these days. I went to the mall and I swear, peacock shirts, plates, ear rings, etc are everywhere. I'm kinda hoping I'm wrong too about them just becoming popular, b/c I don't want my wedding to be "trendy", kwim??

Hmmm, I haven't seen them around any more than usual if that helps!?!? I vote for you probably just notice them way more now that it is a theme. PS: Great idea! Love the colours of peacock feathers.
