The beach reception was great. It's not everyday that you get married in Cabo and can dance under the stars right by the water. I didn't want to have my ceremony on the beach so the reception was a great alternative. Unless it's really windy (like tornado!) on the night of your wedding, you don't have to worry about the sand in your food.

-where's the garden?

-i'll post pictures tonight.

You are so much help, thank you!!! the garden is a very private area with walls around the garden and a fountain in the middle...its open air so when you look up, you look at the sky. If i picked the garden ,im not sure i would want my dancing there so maybe if i picked the beach , they could arrange for a dance floor on the beach. Can't wait to see the pics!

I was at the Riu Palace in December and I remember the bride asked for the private reception at the San Jose restaurant at the terrace and wanted a T set up for the tables and it cost her $500.

It is buffer style for appetizers and deserts and you choose the main course from the menu. Only red/white wine and beer are included.

The only thing the bride said to me that there was no need to do an upgrade for the cake ( the cake is for 10 people I believe and she had 25), since the restaurant has a buffet for desserts.

I hope this info helps.

I don't mean to hijeck this thread but I know I can find Aimee here. The pics you posted look amazing.

Just wanted to know how you coaxed Juan for your pictures. My wedding was at the beginning of November and I have been waiting patiently not emailing him or bugging him about the pictures. I was sure that I would receive them within the 3 month timeframe after all his recent issues. Well I emailed yesterday just politely checking in and stating that he still has 1.5 weeks and he replied basically that he doesn't know when they will be done but he is close - which to me interprets that They will be late because I haven't even looked at them. I've been waiting for the pictures to print some and send out with my thank you cards and now I'm feeling guilty because I am waiting so long and people may think I'm ungrateful!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
