OK - so this one is mostly directed at our resident expert, but...

For those of us who don't love posing for pictures (which is why most of my photos will be photojournalism style), do you have any advice about things to do/not do when posing for pictures?

Also, what can we all do to make the photographer's life easier. The number one thing that every girl on this board wants to do is make sure things go smoothly (for everyone - vendors included!).

I hope the expert you are talking about is me. haha

The best thing would be to be as natural as you can and to not look to the camera when he is not trying to get a frontal photo, just act as if he is not there, except when he tells you to look at him. Just concentrate on showing your love to your fiancee.

i take bad pictures...i am really not comfortable in front of the camera and my face tenses up...you all say it is not true, but i will drag my hubby to vouch for me that i have a really hard time...

thats why we were so amazed juan got such great pics...especially since i was bawling during the entire ceremony and my family was stressing me out before the ceremony.

i dont have any tips but listen to the photographer...when walking down the aisle, hold your bouquet lower (we hae a tendency to hold it high and up to our chest, or worse, my sister held hers like a torch even though i told her to hold it low)

and i guess remember to

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
