I HEART Elizabeth too! When we hired her back in June for our wedding, I figured I would get in contact with her a few months before. Little did I know that she is always thinking about her brides... she is so sweet she emails regularly with cute ideas she sees at other weddings. Also, I have emailed her a few times about things that I love in other weddings she shoots - on one occasion, she even got in touch with the bride to find out where she got her linens and centerpieces.

From what I can see, all the photographers you are considering look amazing! I am sure whoever you hire will make your wedidng look beautiful. If you still need to get in touch with Elizabeth, maybe I can help... I have a couple of email address for her. If you would like, I can PM them to you.

Thanks everyone for the great advice! I just wanted to update you guys on my decision... all the photographers mentioned are extremely talented and I don't think I would have gone wrong with any of them... but in the end I decided to go with Vincent, the associate photographer with Matt and Sol! I'm really happy with my decision and will definitely be posting pics after my wedding! I was able to view a lot of his prior work, and his pictures spoke to my FI and I the most... so artistic and creative, and it sounds like he's wonderful to work with. His prices are also really competitive for the quality of his work, and Matt and Sol have been so great to communicate with. Thanks again for all your advice... another crisis situation diverted thanks to BDW :)

Ann's right...

Having a photographer that's familiar isn't necessarily an advantage.

It is almost always more inspiring to shoot somewhere I've never been before... The important thing is to just make sure your photog has a little bit of time to familiarize him/herself with the area prior to the big day...the day before or even the day of should be just fine.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
