They will not permit any items shipped to the hotel. Please dont get me wrong..awesome place just a little costly..$.,chair covers and bows for 100 people is 1300.00 for covers and bows. Yikes! They don't include chair covers? That's a lot of $ IMO but I've never priced them so maybe it's normal.

At that rate, I would have a beach blanket wedding...get some nice blankets and umbrellas and have the guests chill out there, the ceremony is super short anyways! LOL

I think we have other moon palace brides, I hope they can help :)

Hi there... I am a MP bride, getting married in April. We are doing an outside reception and not doing chair covers as the white slatted chairs that they use look nice enough. We may do some table runners to add a little more color to the tables (she said we could bring our own) and I am still waiting for pricing on the flowers. Depending on how many tables you have, it can get expensive... I think that we were quoted 3 tabletop for $180 or something like that.

How many guests are you having? Are you doing something outside or in a ballroom?

I am also going to do very colorful menus for each place setting to dress up the table a bit... add some extra color without a major expense. Good luck!

Hi there! We are getting married in April as well - My advice would be to keep it simple! It is going to be SO beautiful anyways - Honestly - we are not doing any chair linens - Our guests probably won't even pay attention to the chair linens anyways - I am making a lot of our favors and things too for added color - like program fans for the ceremony, flowers, corsages and everything like that - usually you can make things for 1/2 the cost and there are TONS of great DIY ideas on here! Good Luck!

Thank you for your feedback... I am having 80-100 people and the recepion is inside. To cut back on costs I would like to carry 2 boxes as my checked luggage of feathers and vases for my centerpieces. Does anyone know how that would work with customs? I am having a hard time geting info from the mexican consulate?

Does any bride have any tips for the moon Palace wedding already married there? I have visited the property and have selected he Sunrise side any Thoughts huh.gif I was also wondering if the golfing was o.k.? HOW ABOUT THE FOOD/cake Any menu suggestions?..Photographer? Officiant?smile124.gif

Both my sister and BFF got married at Moon Palace and I went to both. The officiant does his thing in English it is about 30 minutes in length. The pics actually turned out nicely. I love my sister's pics. She was worried about the pics too and I showed her my BFF's album.

They were going to a golf thing for the guys, but the greens fees there are so rediculous, like $180.

I have to honestly say the cake was gross. It was pretty, but nobody liked the cake. The food was ok, nothing to brag about but I did enjoy it. I think that comes with any AI resort.

The weddings were both beautiful. Neither of them used chair covers.

Are you doing the horse drawn carriage? That was the prettiest part that got me all choked up.

The wedding coordinator was really good the day of the wedding and she even chooed away bistanders that were looking to watch. Your wedding will be beautiful. I would have chosen the same place if my sister did not have her's there already.

Lucky that they let you choose the Sunrise side. both times I was on Nizuc. They promised my sister we would be on Sunrise, but they changed that on her. Both sides are really nice though. Sunrise is just bigger.

My sister's hair and make-up turned out very nice as well. PM if you want to know anything else :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
