you know...one of our more knowledgeable RM brides is on more in the morning (she is on east coast)...i am sure she will answer your posts then. i think caribbean-cancun WC's are american..

also, ask anacgarcia...she knows alof of great vendors...

i could be wrong but for some reason that is what i thought...did the WC at RPR recommend a baker to you? they have really good food there so they should be able to make a wedding cake for you.

do you have a link for your photographer, i'd love to see her work! we love to see pics of dresses etc...my friend had this beautiful melissa sweet dres with tiers...so pretty!

Hello and Welcome,

The RPR is a wonderfull place to get married. Your photographer looks amazing.

I'm not sure what you mean by American Wedding Cordinator. Did you mean you want them based out of the US for more convenience or a WC based out of PDC but American? The rule of thumb around here in general is that the WC's based out of the bride and grooms wedding destination are the best, because they have access and knowledge to the best deals in your wedding destination area. They also have good knowledge of the language and know most of the vendors and are thus more capable of getting you a better deal money wise and are able to tell you who (DJ's Mariachi etc) has the better reputation and does the best work.

Also, have you checked to see if your resort allows outside WC's. This is where I am having trouble. It seems in Cabo pretty much all of the resorts allow additional WC assistance, however in PDC there are quite a few resorts that do NOT allow this. My wedding resort being one of them. I would just double check with the resort to see. The good thing is that even if the RPR does not allow outside WC's at least you know that the resort has a very good reputation as far as their WC services go. With all the information on the web out there and help from othe brides around here you may find that you dont even need one.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
