Having trouble getting my grandma's passport

My grandma's local representative is Ron Paul, so I doubt he would be much help right now :) Should I contact one of the two people for Texas in the US senate? Or do I contact people in the Texas Senate?

Morgan, I couldn't use the quote button for some reason but my FH needs to submitt all the affidavites and everything to apply for his passport. He already had his birth cert. I just hope that who ever was in charge of submitting her birth cert to the state after her birth was good and knew what they were doing, i.e. didn't put it in more than a year after her birth, otherwise you may run into problems with the passport office not the state department of health. I am assuming that is who you have been having trouble with laterly.

FH had his birth cert and sent it in with his passport application, then about 3 weeks later we got a letter that said his birth cert was invalid because it was submitted more than one year after his birth, so legally I guess he is a year younger than he actually is. I dunno it is all confusing. I can tell you though that the passport people that we have talked to have been pretty helpful and nice.

Good Luck, Keep us updated.

I think what happens is when it was submitted a year late, it's considered deleyed. My grandmas was submitted 17 years after her birth. So you need more proof of age. We have 1 thing of proof (the school records). I'm just hoping that's enough. I'm going to contact our state representative. I think she went to school with my mom. I need to talk to my mom tonight & see what she wants me to say to her.

I've already got my grandma excited about biking through coba. I need to make sure we can get her to Mexico!

His mom just sent in the hospital records and it was all good. Only took about a week and a half to get it back. I hope the school records work for your grandma. Cross our fingers!

Great! I'm glad to hear that. My grandma got her birth certificate & applied for her passport last week. They told her it would take 4-6 weeks. So in 5 weeks if its not in I'll contact a local representative. The lady at the post office said the records were all she needed, but I know they can make mistakes. They approved my application & I had a birth abstract not a long form so I had to resubmit.

My biggest fear was the birth certificate wouldn't come in, because they couldn't locate it when I went to our county courthouse. That worked out just a little deleyed so hopefully everything goes smoothly now.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
