problem with the dress

Recommended Posts

The problem is, I can't decide!!! I went dress shopping yesterday and I can't even decide on the type of dress! I love the ease and comfortability (is that a word?)of a light, airy, destination dress. But the beatiful, elegance, from a sparkly more formal dress is what I've dreamed of since I was 4. I don't know if I want to be "sexy" or "innocent". I have no vision of what it should look like. At times I say to myself "I want to be a princess.". Then there are times when I'm like "I want to be sophisticated" (btw, I'm 30yrs). I just cant decide. I had the dress consultant, bringing me so many different styles, I felt bad for her! Well I had the same problem. I ended up buying 2 dresses!!! (totally on accident) I got the first dress which is ULTRA DESTINATION. Its made of chiffon with a sweep train and is sooooo comfortable!!! The second is still chiffon but is well fitted and has a more embellishments with a longer train. After being on this site and looking at photos with brides in more traditional dresses on the beach, it doesnt look so silly. If I was to get married in a church back home I would probably go for the princess type dress but I think the second dress is a happy medium. Maybe thats what you should be looking for.... Something in between... still informal but with a little bit of style or sparkle!

And dont feel bad about not finding one now. You will find one and the dress lady will be okay... its her job to help you find a dress. Good Luck.

I agree that it sounds like you want something in between. Just keep looking & you'll definitely know when you've found the one. The minute you put it on you won't want to take it off or you'll think its not the one, go home & that dress will be on your mind constantly. I thought I found the one & the day I went to order it I saw another dress in a magazine. I decided to try it on just for fun & that wound up knocking the other one out. It's also not what I would consider beachy but its not over the top & I love it. Get what you like & what makes you feel beautiful. Also, try on things you wouldn't normally consider.

Relax & have fun with it. Oh, are you taking pictures of yourself in the dresses?

Just keep going to different stores and looking at magazines for ideas.

I firmly believe that when you see The One, you just know it.

I always said i wanted a really light/airy dress for my DW but when I saw this one dress I fell in love with it. It is definitely not too too light but wow, I just felt regal when I put that sucker on. :)

Don't give up. You will find The One. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
