Q&A from WC at Dreams DR

Recommended Posts

Q&Aâ€s from the wedding coordinator at dreams DR. They are a little choppy because I did some cut and past from a couple of emails.

When should we send our documents?

Please wait a little more to send the documentation. It is better to

start two months before.

The time for the ceremony is assigned by the local judge and the times

that are currently available for our resort are 6, 7 and 8.

What couples normally do is have some photos taken before the ceremony.

At 6:15 PM is perfect for the beach ceremony though.

Do we pick the reception site when we arrive and can you send me any pictures ahead of time?

Yes. The location is confirmed at your arrival.

Can I have a photographer that is staying at a different hotel come to the resort? Do I have to pay for him to be at the resort for the purpose of taking pictures and if so how much does it cost?

The special price for wedding day passes is US $ 79 per person, for 12 hours.

I havenâ€t made up my mind if I would like to have a dinner or cocktail hour. Where is the location for them? Are they held indoors or outdoors?

The private events can be held in one of our outdoor terraces, on the beach or in a banquet room. Please find enclosed the menus for private dinners and cocktails.

If I choose to have one of the dinners will the Caribbean music trio play for more then 1 hour for additional cost or is it limited to one hour?

The price for the trio is US $ 200 per hour; they can play the hours you request.

Is there ceremony music included or is that additional?

For the ceremony there will be a CD player and speakers available (no extra cost). You can bring your own selection of music to be played.

Does the extra 300usd for the beach ceremony include enough seating for 40 plus people and is there a cost flowers on the beach?

The beach ceremony includes the set up (chairs with white covers) for the amount of people requested, the music and a floral arch.

Yes, you can use an ipod but I am so not into electronics and have trouble figuring mine out. I leave all this stuff up to my FI. He has crazy adaptors for every thing I would ask the WC via email and still be prepared to bring adaptors just incase. Hope it works out for you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
