We spent the night together and woke up for breakfast together.. after breakfast I went to the salon to get my nails done. We didn't see each other until I walked down the isle.. actually I saw him during the day at the pool with the guys while we were getting our hair done.

The anticipation of going down the isle was surreal.. I was fine until about 2 minutes before go-time.. then the nerves hit and I wished I had a shot of tequila.. :)

We have lived together for 4 + years. The night before the wedding DH stayed in his brother's room and I didn't see him until I walked down the aisle the next day. The day of I ordered room service for breakfast and had alone time in my room. I sat around and read. My hair and makeup people did my and my mom's hair. My BM stopped by and we hung out. They also took DHs stuff to him.

I'm with Sarah - I wouldn't have done it any other way. I loved my alone time.

With our wedding package, Aaron gets a complimentary room the night before the wedding. We already live together (will be 3 years by the time of our wedding) but I am torn both ways. I am afraid without him there, I will not be able to sleep (along with all of the nerves kicking in). If we do stay in separate rooms, I plan to do brunch with my BM's before we got get our hair done.

He and I each stayed alone the night before the wedding. At the moment it was stressful- I was having a mini-meltdown...not about getting married, just that this was my last night "alone" and didn't want to leave his room. It was really hard to do, but I'm so glad we did. We both spent that time apart writing letters to eachother that we read right before the wedding. It was a very special time.

The morning of the wedding I woke up early, worked out alone, met family/friends (not DH) for breakfast, then went back to my room and spent some more time alone. Oddly, I really loved that alone time the day of my wedding. It was a great time to reflect on our relationship and get myself ready for the vows I was going to say and promise I was making. At noon I went to the hotel salon (again, alone) and had my hair done and drank champagne. Then, once I got back to the room, my friends and family (all the girls) brought their stuff to my room to get ready. All the guys went to Jeff's room to get ready.

We didn't do pictures beforehand, and didn't see eachother until I walked down the aisle. The anticipation was unbelievable. It was so wonderful- I absolutely wouldn't do it any other way if I could do it again.
Wow Sarah, after I read that I got teary eyed! We too plan on sleeping apart the night before the wedding. Although we have been together for the past 5 years and we have two kids, I think we have been apart only a hand full of times. I plan on sleeping with my daughter and probably my MOH :) I plan on having breakfast with my dad and his wife in the morning, probably go for a walk or work out to get relaxed and then hang out at the spa/salon and start getting ready with my girls. I know the anticipation is going to be awesome.

We also live together but I did NOT want to spend the night before together and or see each other before I walked down the asile. So, he stayed in the room with his best man and a friend of mine stayed with me. The day of the wedding I told him he had the beach area and I had the pool area and he was not to walk by the pool or eat at that end of the resort. We did not see each other that day till I walked down the asile. It was perfect. We did stay at a huge resort so this worked for us. I have not read what anyone else posted by I know some girls hang out in their rooms and order room service and stuff so they don't bump into there FH's

I just want to say that I am so happy we did it this way. It made seeing him standing at the alter so much more special because I actually missed him. I was soo excited to see him.

We were different; we both got a lil bit drunk and ended up crashing in our suite together. I guess J couldn't find his brother (whom he was supposed to sleep with). I wasn't bothered by it. The morning of the wedding was really cute, we spent the morning cuddling and then got up, got ready and went our different ways.... we didn't see eachother again until the wedding.

I spent the morning having breakfast with all the ladies (ladies only breakfast cheesy.gif) and then me and my bridesmaids began getting ready. I also had a massage to calm my nerves. That was the best massage ever and so worth it. My nerves were crazy!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
