Night Before and Day of the Wedding

Recommended Posts

We are still up in the air on this one.

It's only $150 for a separate room the night before, but I've really just gotta wait and see how our funds look.

It doesn't matter either way really.

But, day of the wedding -- ZI will be getting ready starting with a salon appt at 10am ... so we won't see each other until our private pre-ceremony pics.

The night before I sat around my room and watched some guy movies on USA network. I think it was a Chuck Norris movie if I remember correctly. Sat on the balcony and smoked a lot of cigarettes, drank a little tequila, and tried my best to go to sleep. It was really nice having the time to myself to get excited for the morning. It probably would have been difficult though if we had an afternoon or evening ceremony.
To add to what my hubby was saying, I also loved having a little solitude before the wedding. The night before, we had dinner at the lovely french restaurant at Dreams. He then walked me to the room. We exchanged wedding presents on the balcony. Soon after we said good night and kissed. The feeling I had reminded me of how I felt after I would say good night to Jay at my door when we first started dating...all dreamy and wistful. I spent the rest of the night meditating and praying I wouldn't be a wreck to next day.

we've lived together for 3 1/2 years, but we're taking advantage of that complimentary room at dreams as well. i plan on having my sister spend the night with me so i'm not too lonely, and kicking her out in the morning wink.gif i'll order room service for breakfast and then begin getting ready.

Me and DH already lived together before we got married but we decided to stay in separate rooms. I had my bridesmaids stay with me and he stayed with my brother in law. I missed him the entire night and the entire day of our wedding until I saw him waiting for me at the end of the aisle.

Amiee- I love your picture! :) We have been together off and on (happens when you date for an extended period of time in your 20's -hehe) for 10 years- lived together for 5. I'm determined to kick him out of the room! :) We are having dinner the night before with everyone--- then splitting up-- even if we both end up at Playa del Carmen (highly likely) -we can't be in the same bar/club! -girls in one, boys on the other.. My 2 best gfriends are single-so they'll probably end up crashing in our room and the FI will stay with his brother-we'll move him out before dinner....However, If some of the girls are in my room in the AM of wedding day, I'm kicking them out for some "shannon-time"... That is the plan-we'll see if it works....:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
