Okay, you guys are so crafty! What are you using to make these DIY invitations? How do you cut the paper straight? Are you just using a regular ruler? I can't imagine even making anything decent with normal office supplies!! Are there special invitation making tools or scrapbooking stuff or something? You guys are so good!

I went to Hobby Lobby ( the only craft store in my small town ) and bought some aqua paper for the background - I found clip art on the internet ( a starfish ) and just used my HP software - The easiest thing is just to start playing around with it and find out what you like best! I also ordered some baby starfish off ebay to embellish - Good Luck!

I bought a paper cutter from Office Max and a separate blade that perforates. I plan on having Kinko's do the cutting though since I have ~125 invitations! Since I'm making boarding pass invites with ticket sleeves I also bought an exact knife to do the "fine" cutting manually.

Yes - have to use a paper cutter. And, having used the old "guillotine" style one at the office, I'm SO making the investment in a rotary cutter.

But it is a function of playing around with it until you get a look or idea that you like.

If you need any pointers, feel free to PM me with questions or samples. Happy to help in any way I can.

And we all love to see PICS!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
