I usually eat 1 of 3 menus for breakfast:
1. Cereal with Lowfat Milk and Fruit
2. Kashi Granola Bar or Fiber 1 Chocolate Granola Bar and Banana
3. Oatmeal

I have a great baked oatmeal recipe made with apples and dried fruit. You can grab a square so it's like a muffin or heat it and serve with milk. PM me if you'd like it.
You should post this recipe - I'd be interested! Can you post it? If not, I'll PM you with my email address.

hhhmmmm .... okay -- I will try adding some fruit and granola. Dried fruit or fresh fruit? I'm guessing most of you use fresh?

I think I will have myself a pop-tart tomorrow! in celebration of this wonderful thread. Ann, I think you should to!
lol.

I'm making my weekend casserole tomorrow.

Mix together spicy breakfast sausage (cooked of course), eggs, milk, fresh herbs, salt & pepper, spinach if you have it, and low-fat cheese (basically whatever is left in the fridge, lol).

Mix and pour over sliced potatoes, which I use to line the bottom of the pan.

Bake at 375 until firm and bubbly. Yum-o!

If you want to be bad, add some mascarpone cheese in addition to your other cheese. OMG!

people who dont eat breakfast are 300 times more likely to be over weight. they just dont get how important it is to kick start your metabolism within minutes of waking up. "the abs diet for women" pick it up. like 15 bucks and it will completely change your understanding on everything. real simple read and my friends got the one for women and they loved the book. i have the one for men and im not even excercising like i should be and im sliming down just by eating right (trust me i still eat ice cream and candy and all that but just im healthier about it) its so worth the 15 bucks. :)

Eating breakfast is what gets me out of bed in the morning. Every day I have a bowl of Smart Start. After all this time, I am surprised I haven't gotten sick of it. I have one cabinet that is usually full of boxes of Smart Start. I freak out when I get down to two boxes (like they are going to run out of it everywhere)!! wink.gif

I haven't read all the responses so forgive me if I repeat. I eat breakfast every day and it's either:

fat free vanilla yogurt, fruit (cherries/blueberries/raspberries/peaches), and almond granola. I either make this or get it at starbucks.

egg whites on a 8 grain english muffin with a piece of cheese melted on it. I use the muffins with no flour in them.

In order to make the eat breakfast thing work, it has to keep you full. You need protein in there somewhere.

OK.... I will admit that I did not read most of the posts on this thread but my excuse is that page one was MAKING ME HUNGRY!!! I have been having a bowl of cheerios with a 1/2 of a grapefruit. I never feel hungry for lunch and get to have the other half for a snack later in the day. It is never as tasty as waffles or pancakes smothered in syrup but it gets me through my morning.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
